With the culmination of some of the genre’s biggest stories and big twists aplenty along the way, next week is one that soap fans most certainly won’t want to miss.

With Christmas just around the corner, EastEnders ramps things up, with Suki Panesar receiving central focus next week as abusive husband Nish discovers the truth about her affair with Eve Unwin.

The villain is on the warpath and soon turns to son Ravi Gulati for assistance, but just how far will he got to get revenge?

Emmerdale, meanwhile, sees two affairs in danger of being exposed, with Tracy Metcalfe and Caleb Milligan continuing to play with fire while David Metcalfe discovers Victoria Barton and Jacob Gallagher’s secret romance.

Over in Neighbours, Nell makes it her mission to help Melanie Pearson following some shocking truths coming to light, while Lucas Hay’s behaviour in Hollyoaks raises some eyebrows.

As for Coronation Street? Joseph Brown is rushed to hospital and Liam Connor is terrified for his life as Mason continues to bully him.

EastEnders

1. Suki is panicked when she realises that Priya knows the truth about her escape plan, agreeing to pay her off for her silence. Nish, however, secretly watches the exchange and later intercept. with Priya forced to cover with a convincing lie.

2. Priya blackmails Suki after she only receives £200 from the Minute Mart till, reminding her that she’ll blab if she doesn’t get the full amount. After Vinny informs him about the missing cash, Nish checks the CCTV of the shop and is horrified to see footage of Suki and Eve kissing. Enraged, the villain spills all to Ravi, determined to find out the truth.

3. Stacey goes to see Theo ahead of his plea hearing, trying to manipulate him into pleading guilty by agreeing to restart their ‘relationship’ if he does so. Theo, however, reacts badly. Jean encourages her daughter to stay away from the hearing but Stacey attends, anxiously awaiting him to give evidence.

4. Jack consoles Stacey and, in shock scenes, Stacey reveals all about how she planted the wrench on Theo to protect Freddie. Jack, horrified, reveals his intention to spill the beans to the police, but Stacey pleads with him to keep shtum.

5. Karen is shocked when she finds out Mitch has organised a surprise party for her, but things spiral out of control when Malcolm arrives, with Albie taking a shine to him. After chatting to Sharon, Malcolm comes to realise the truth about Karen and Keanu’s kidnap plot and he is disgusted.

6. Mitch grows suspicious of Karen’s insistence on splashing the cash and, after walking in on her conversation with Keanu, he demands the truth as Karen tearfully reveals all. Mitch is disgusted to learn about Karen’s involvement in Albie’s kidnapping and insists they must give the money back.

Coronation Street

7. Ed is shocked when Sarge arrives early. Ronnie, meanwhile, suggests a big family meal out, insisting that he and Ed will pick up the bill. Having taken out a payday loan, Ed scans the racing pages and later watches the racing on his phone while Sarge makes digs. Dee-Dee quietly explains to Joel that Sarge thinks they lost their house because of a bad business decision, not Ed’s gambling. Having lost his bet Ed sweats. Ronnie pays for lunch, telling Ed he can give him half later.

8. Liam tries to pull a sickie, but Maria’s having none of it. In the school corridor, Mrs Crawshaw overhears Liam quizzing Dylan about the vapes. She orders Dylan to her office while Mason glares at Liam. George, meanwhile, offers Liam some advice.

9. Joseph is unwell and, on Bernie’s advice, Gemma makes him a lavender tea in the hopes it will perk him up. Joseph, however, passes out, with Chesney calling the ambulance as he blames himself, wishing he’d listened to Gemma, who previously voiced her concerns. The doctor, meanwhile, reveals that Joseph has been poisoned.

10. With the Christmas lunch in full swing, Paul, Billy, Bernie, Gemma and the quads having a great time. The mood, however, swiftly changes when Chesney and Joseph return home from the hospital with a child protection officer, who wants to interview Gemma. With everyone out of the house, Caitlin questions a horrified Gemma and suggests that she may have poisoned Joseph on purpose.

11. Nina assures Asha that she’s looking forward to lunch with Isla and her senior colleague Miles, as it’s time they got to know each other’s friends. Nina arrives at Speed Daal in time to hear Asha bigging up her to Miles and Isla and explaining that she’s a budding fashion designer.

12. Crystal calls at the bistro and invites Ryan to join her at a new bar in town later. Ryan’s delighted. Ryan takes a call offering him a job. He’s taken aback and quickly covers in front of Leanne.

Emmerdale

13. With Chloe having absconded with his son, Mack is at his wits end, having spent the whole night searching for her. Desperate for answers, he confronts Amy and Matty, who are shocked by how low he is. Charity is quick to reassure an emotional Mack that they will get Reuben back and encourages him to stay on Amy’s good side.

14. David’s birthday arrives but the attention is on Jacob, who is dodging questions about who his mystery girlfriend is, allowing everyone to believe that Gabby is the woman in question. David, however, gets the shock of his life when he sees Jacob and Victoria kissing through the window. Rocked by a number of shocks, David decides to leave the village he’s called home for over a decade.

15. With his efforts to mend bridges backfiring, Amit decides to leave the village. Suni encourages Laurel to hear him out, with Laurel subsequently approaching Nicky in a bid to find out why Amit attacked him. Nicky stays shtum but Suni is quick to think he’s spilled the beans and thus dumps him, though quickly comes to regret his decision.

16. Tracy struggles to resist temptation where Caleb is concerned and, at Cain’s party, the two share a passionate kiss in the toilet corridor at the Woolpack, with Cain nearly catching them in the act.

17. Gail pushes Ryan to be more open with his feelings.

Hollyoaks

18. Nadira and Camilla get passionate, with Sienna stunned to find the pair together. Sienna urges Nadira to come clean, with a subsequent showdown seeing her reveal the truth to Rafe. Rafe later pops the question to Sienna, who gleefully accepts. Ethan, meanwhile, tries to propose to Sienna, but he’s set to be left heartbroken once more.

19. Yazz and Tom are at loggerheads, with their marriage on the rocks. Yazz attends Leela’s Christmas party at The Loft, where things get steamy between she and Ethan, with a passionate kiss exchanged – just as Tom walks in!

20. Lucas suddenly falls sick after a text from Dillon, who says he’ll see him at the football training. James, however, is intrigued by his behaviour and pushes him, with Lucas making a shock revelation involving bullying claims which Dillon denies. Lucas later admits that he lied, but the question is: why?

21. Peri and Romeo decide to give it another go but first Peri thinks they need to get Juliet’s blessing and together they ask for it by her graveside.

Neighbours

22. Melanie goes for a police interview without her lawyer present. Nell pleads with Toadie to intervene but he shows little concern, that is until Mel offers to attend one of Nell’s therapy sessions and thus he softens towards her and arranges for her case to be assigned one of the best legal aid lawyers in the city.

23. Concerned about the atmosphere between Remi and Cara, JJ and Dex decide to play cupid, re-creating their mums’ first date in the sunroom. But will their plan pay off?

24. David receives an intriguing job offer, which leads him to make a big decision about both his own future and those of his loved ones. But will he be staying put in Erinsborough?

25. Byron struggles with Reece’s departure.

EastEnders airs Mondays to Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBCOne. Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV. Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV. Vicky Grant (Anya Lawrence) is set to receive a huge shock in Hollyoaks next month when newcomer Andre rocks up with a big secret, confirming that he’s her half-brother.

Did not see that coming.

Andre, played by David Joshua-Anthony, will cause quite the stir when he arrives in the eponymous village with the goal of reuniting with estranged half-sister Vicky, who has no idea that she even has a brother.

Vicky, who recently returned to the village after some time away, takes quite the shine to the newcomer, which proves rather awkward at first, as she gets the wrong end of the stick.

But just how will she react to the news that she’s got a sibling she never knew anything about? And will the two get along?

That remains to be seen but Andre is certainly going to make his mark on the village, proving himself to be a fun, charismatic and quick-witted guy, who swiftly becomes friends with Dillon Ray (Nathaniel Dass).

After learning of his troubled home life, Dillon offers Andre a place to stay at the Maaliks.

Discussing his casting, actor David said: ‘Being welcomed into the Hollyoaks family has been amazing and I’m enjoying the process of playing Andre.

‘He is a kid who always thinks one step ahead of everyone else and is filled with so many thoughts and ideas.

‘I can’t wait to see what life in the village has in store for him.’

Here's how to watch Hollyoaks after the schedule change

Hollyoaks has a brand new schedule to better reflect viewing habits of TV audiences today.

The show will no longer air on Channel 4. Instead, viewers can get their daily fix on the station’s online platform, formerly known as 4OD and All4, weeknights at 7:30pm on Channel 4 streaming.

If streaming isn’t your thing or maybe you simply prefer to watch on TV then you can catch the show weeknights at 7pm on E4.

Andre will make his Hollyoaks debut on Wednesday December 6, with the episode available to watch from 7:30pm on Channel 4 streaming on the day in question. Alternatively, you can watch it on TV on Thursday December 7 at 7pm on E4.

EastEnders spoilers follow with a picture gallery above, showcasing another unmissable week in the Square.

Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) is panicked when she realises that Priya Nandra-Hart (Sophie Khan-Levy) knows a shocking truth and thus comes to a decision, agreeing to pay Priya in exchange for her silence.

Nish (Navin Chowdhry), however, secretly watches the hushed showdown and intercepts the cash exchange, with Priya covering with a convincing lie. 

With Nish seemingly off their trail, Priya resumes her blackmail plot, with Suki only able to pay £200 from the Minute Mart till. Vinny (Shiv Jalota), meanwhile, informs Nish about the missing cash, unaware of what he’s done in doing so.

Nish, you see, subsequently checks the Minute Mart’s CCTV and is horrified to see footage of Suki and Eve Unwin (Heather Peace) kissing. Enraged, the villain spills all to Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara), determined to find out the truth.

Oh dear.

Elsewhere, Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) goes to see Theo Hawthorne (William Ellis) ahead of his plea hearing, trying to manipulate him into pleading guilty by agreeing to restart their ‘relationship’ if he does so.

Theo, however, reacts badly to her suggestion.

The week in question is also a big one for Karen Taylor (Lorraine Stanley), who is shocked when she finds out Mitch Baker (Roger Griffiths) has organised a surprise party for her, but things spiral out of control when Malcolm arrives, with Albie taking a shine to him.

After chatting to Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean), Malcolm comes to realise the truth about Karen and Keanu’s (Danny Walters) kidnapping plot and it’s safe to say is disgusted.

EastEnders airs these scenes between Monday, November 27 and Thursday, November 30 at 7:30pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.

Ed Bailey (Trevor Michael Georges) recently got news of a Christmas visitor in Coronation Street, when Michael (Ryan Russell) told him that Grandad Sarge (Ram John Holder) would be joining them for the festivities.

Ed’s reaction was not a positive one and he told Michael he was dreading Sarge coming.

Could it have something to do with the fact that Ed is getting increasingly worried about money? He’s become so desperate that he’s started fraudulently using a credit card in the name of Norris Cole (Malcolm Hebden) – who used to live at Ed’s address.

The credit card fraud is Ed’s way of trying to hide that his gambling problem is back again, so he panics when Michael opens a letter from Norris’s bank telling him that the card has been frozen due to suspicious activity.

With his employee, Tony, waiting to be paid, Ed is in despair wondering how he’s going to manage.

Then Sarge arrives from Dominica for Christmas – several weeks early. Ronnie (Vinta Morgan)’s delighted to see his dad and suggests they should all go out for a big family meal to celebrate. Ed starts to panic, wondering how he’ll pay his share of the bill.

He resorts to his old ways and places a bet on the horses, keeping an eye on the race on his phone even while he’s sitting with the rest of the family at the bistro.

Meanwhile Sarge keeps needling him about his ‘business brain.’ Dee-Dee (Channique Sterling-Brown) tells Joel (Calum Lill) that Sarge thinks they lost their house because of a bad business decision by Ed, rather than because of Ed’s gambling.

Ed loses his bet and starts to really sweat. Ronnie pays for lunch, but tells Ed he can pay his half later.

He has no choice but to tell Tony he can’t pay him for the work he did on Paul (Peter Ash)’s flat and confesses he’s a gambling addict and he’s lost all his money. He begs Tony not to say anything to the rest of the family.

Sarge is making himself at home, and eventually admits that his own business is struggling and he needs to borrow £2,000. Ronnie assures him that it’s no problem, they can lend him the money – but Ed is really panicking now, knowing he’s sinking fast and has no way to give any money to Sarge.

Bernie Winter (Jane Hazlegrove) is facing a custodial sentence after pleading guilty to handling stolen goods in Coronation Street.

If this wasn’t bad enough, her prison time could leave her unable to be with dying son Paul Foreman (Peter Ash) in his final moments.

Bernie recently revealed that she could be facing up to six months behind bars, after the judge explained that her history meant she had to be handed a custodial sentence.

With Paul having been told that he only has between six and twelve months left to live following his MND diagnosis, there is a chance he could pass away while she is locked up.

Because of this, Bernie is determined to make the most of every moment she has left with her son, and soon the family take steps to make sure that can happen.

In a new spoiler video, Christmas comes early for Bernie in the form of some familiar carol singers.

As she sits down on the sofa, she is interrupted by a knock at the door, where she is surprised to find Paul, Gemma (Dolly-Rose Campbell), Joseph (William Flanagan) and two of the quads all dressed up in Christmas themed fancy dress.

Paul then explained that because Bernie won’t be around for Christmas, they were going to celebrate it early.

As Joseph handed over an official invitation, Gemma promised a turkey dinner with all the trimmings and a Christmas tree.

Bernie gratefully accepted the offer, but will their Christmas go to plan?

There are wedding bells – or Belles to be precise – in Emmerdale, as one couple are set to get engaged this Christmas, but fans will likely be aware that it can only end in tears.

The soap’s boss, Laura Shaw, has confirmed that Belle and Tom King (James King) will have announcement to make to their loved ones in a festive episode, after previously hinting towards the proposal.

Recent scenes saw Tom lose his temper with Belle when she first rejected his request for her hand in marriage, and he lashed out, knocking her into a table and causing her to cut her head.

Following this incident, the couple seem back on track, although in so many cases, things like this don’t end up being isolated, despite profuse apologies from Tom.

However, the focus will be on Christmas joy as they look to the future, whatever that may contain.

‘Belle and Tom are going to move on in their relationship,’ Laura confirmed to Metro.co.uk.

‘ I think we’ve already hinted a little bit that there may be more going on in their relationship, but what we will see is them building their it.

‘Wedding bells come in on Valentine’s Day, of course, because we’re a soap so we have to do weddings on Valentine’s Day. But is it going to be their happy ever after? We’ll have to see.’

Given what’s happened, this seems very unlikely. But it’s not the only big drama coming to the show this Christmas.

Another couple is taking the strain, as Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry) finds her feelings for baby Ivy strengthening.

‘We’ve seen Rhona having a really tricky time recently,’ Laura mused. ‘We’ve recently seen on screen Lucy died just after the birth of baby Ivy.

‘What we’ll see going forward is just Gus starting to struggle a little bit with his grief and with being a single parent to little Ivy and that’s going to hugely impact on Rhona and Marlon’s Christmas.

‘How is Marlon going to cope if Rhona wants to reach out and help baby Ivy? Will Gus let Rhona help with baby Ivy?

Ever since Asha Alahan (Tanisha Gorey started her paramedic training in Coronation Street there’s been one name that’s never far from her lips – Isla.

Isla is the paramedic she’s partnered with, and Asha is totally impressed by her.

‘She is paired with this amazing paramedic who’s been there for years,’ Tanisha Gorey told us.

‘She knows what she’s doing, she’s seen it all. I think Asha’s so overwhelmed and so excited, she sort of idolises her, in a way. Asha wants to be her. Asha wants to know everything she knows, do everything she does sort of thing.’

This admiration could easily be taken for something more, but Tanisha insisted that Asha’s feelings were purely about the job.

‘It’s more that she idolises the job that she does. Asha wants to be where she is so much, it might have been mistaken as she fancies her, which she doesn’t.’

This doesn’t stop Nina (Mollie Gallagher) being insecure about whether her girlfriend has a crush on somebody else. Aadi (Adam Hussain) suggests that it might be a good idea if Nina could meet Isla and the rest of Asha’s paramedic friends to set her mind at ease.

They arrange to have lunch together at Speed Daal and Nina tells Asha she’s looking forward to getting to know Isla and her colleague Miles.

But when she arrives at the restaurant a little late she’s shocked to hear Asha telling Isla and Miles that her girlfriend is a budding fashion designer.

Of course Nina has ambitions to get into fashion design and has done designs for Underworld, but that’s not how she currently makes her living. She can’t help but wonder whether Asha is ashamed of the fact that she works in her Uncle Roy (David Neilson)’s cafe.

Mack’s (Lawrence Robb) despicable behaviour drove a desperate Chloe (Jessie Elland) to go on the run with her baby son. But the young mum, who only recently suffered a brain injury, is vulnerable and at risk.

Mack and Charity (Emma Atkins) planned to keep their affair under wraps until Christmas as they felt Chloe was too fragile for Mack to end their relationship.

But as things escalated and they start sneaking off for sex behind Chloe’s back, Charity began getting itchy feet that Mack – not known for his reliability – would not follow through with his promise.

But for once he was adamant to sticking to his guns to prove his love to Charity, and he ended up dumping Chloe out of the blue.

He later cruelly snogged Charity in full view of a hurting Chloe. Something in her snapped, and she vowed to block Mackenzie from ever seeing Reuben again by hot footing it to France.

Given that Mack cheated on her, left her to die, promised to dedicate his life to her, then fired up an affair behind her back, it’s not surprising Chloe fully intends to crush him.

But now that she’s carried out her plan, her desperately loyal sister Amy (Natalie Ann Jamieson) has no clue as to where she truly is and is worried for her safety.

Mack believes her to still be nearby and has been searching high and low for signs of her and his son. While Mack is out searching for Chloe, Amy fears she’ll never hear from Chloe again and that the betrayed mum will follow through with her plan to leave the country.

Mack confronts Amy and Matty for news, but they have nothing to share. They’re shocked by his ragged appearance and his rock bottom mood. Will Amy’s loyalty start to change?

Charity is sure they will get Reuben back, but she tells Mack he needs to play the game and appease Amy.

She is clearly the gatekeeper to Chloe’s whereabouts, or at least will be the first person Chloe will contact. But does Amy even know where Chloe is or has she really left for good?

After doing some digging, Caleb Milligan (William Ash) was given the perfect opportunity to destroy Kim Tate (Claire King) in Thursday’s (November 23) episode of Emmerdale – but he never took it.

Don’t get us wrong, the old version of Caleb absolutely would’ve jumped at the chance to see Kim’s life in tatters, but the present day version of Caleb is one who’s actually worked hard to rebuild relationships with people he previously hurt and doesn’t want to jeapordise that.

This week, Caleb started to wonder whether Kim was involved in Craig Reed’s (Ben Addis) death.

A few weeks ago, Kim’s horse Ice bolted and attacked Craig, which caused him to die.

Cain (Jeff Hordley) arrived at the scene shortly after and made a pact with Kim, agreeing to keep the truth a secret to prevent them from heading behind bars.

Unaware that Cain was involved, Caleb was determined to get to the bottom of things.

But just as Caleb got very close to doing something about his suspicions, Cain told him what really happened.

Cain said to his brother that he could head to the police station and finally get the revenge he’s longed for, but that would also mean saying goodbye to the family unit he’s built up since arriving in the Dales.

This left Caleb with quite the predicament.

On one hand, reporting Kim would be the perfect chance to get his own back after she left Frank Tate – Caleb’s dad – to die, but family is also incredibly important to Caleb, someone who grew up in care homes and never really had strong connections with his loved ones.

After Caleb agreed to keep quiet, Cain headed to the pub and updated Kim.

While Cain believed his sibling wouldn’t say anything, Kim was certain it wouldn’t be long until Caleb was using this knowledge against the both of them.

But outside, just as Kim got into her car, Caleb approached and backed up Cain’s words.

He made a sly comment about getting her one day, and Kim responded by saying Caleb should hope she isn’t on horseback when/if that occurs.

It appears the feud has been put to bed for now, but given Kim and Caleb aren’t going to enjoy a drink in the pub together anytime soon, there’s every chance we could see them go head to head again in the future.

Chloe Harris (Jessie Elland) has finally seen the light in Emmerdale and has chosen to leave the village after Mackenzie Boyd’s (Lawrence Robb) awful behaviour.

It was being dumped by Mack just so he could reunite with Charity (Emma Atkins) that fuelled Chloe’s anger and hatred towards him. Initially, after Mack left Chloe to die in the Super Soap Week crash, she returned to the Dales believing they could start afresh and be a strong family unit for little Reuben.

But while Chloe got excited for Christmas, Mack was busy telling Charity that they could be together again.

After her relationship with Mack ended, Chloe decided to plan a move to France.

Ignoring Amy’s (Natalie Ann Jamieson) comments about how she belongs in the village, Chloe packed a few bags and sorted Reuben’s passport, fully intent on leaving without Mack ever finding out.

However, after Sarah (Katie Hill) visited Chloe and Amy, she made her way up to Butlers to unleash her anger towards Mack.

Sarah then made a few comments about Mack’s plan to take Chloe and Reuben on holiday which left him confused. Of course, Chloe had lied and told Sarah she had Reuben’s passport because of Mackenzie’s idea and as soon as Sarah mentioned that to him, the penny dropped.

Rushing outside, Mack did his best to try and stop Chloe from taking Reuben. He attempted to open the back door but slipped and fell to the floor, giving Chloe enough time to jump in the drivers seat and dash off.

As Chloe left, Mackenzie ran after the car, eventually giving up when the distance between them became too great.

We know this storyline isn’t over yet, as Chloe’s dad will arrive to make Mackenzie’s life a lot worse.

Discussing what’s coming up, Emmerdale boss Laura Shaw told Metro.co.uk: ‘The Charity, Mackenzie and Chloe love triangle has been bubbling away for 18 months or so now, so at Christmas we’ll see that reach a bit more of a crescendo where Mackenzie pushes Chloe to her absolute limit and what we’ll see is her reach out to her father for help.

‘Obviously we know from previous stories that Chloe’s dad is not someone to be messed about with. We know that he was quite controlling with Chloe and that people are afraid of him, so obviously when she reaches out to him what we will see is him helping Chloe in his own unique way.

‘Is Mackenzie going to be able to talk his way out of this one? I’m not sure, we’ll have to wait and see but I think it’s pretty sure to say the repercussions of that are going to be long-lasting into the new year and beyond.’

It has been a love story that has kept EastEnders fans hooked for well over a year, and finally it seems that Suki Panesar and Eve Unwin (Balvinder Sopal and Heather Peace) will get to be together.

It has been a long road for the couple, who have had countless obstacles to overcome, but the wait has been well worth it.

With a storyline of this nature, it has been so important not to rush things, and EastEnders has done an impeccable job of staying true to life, especially given Suki’s circumstances.

Over the past three years, we have seen Suki embark on a journey of self discovery, as she has tried to come to terms with her sexuality. This, as every member of the LGBTQ+ community will know, is not something that happens over night.

‘Coming out’ is not just about telling other people your sexual orientation. It is a long, exhausting and, for some, quite frankly traumatic process that takes a lot of courage and self-acceptance to get through.

Often, the most difficult part is not telling other people how you feel, but being able to accept it yourself.

In recent scenes, viewers have seen Suki reach this stage of her coming out process, as she revealed to son Vinny her true feelings for husband Nish (Navin Chowdhry).

During their conversation, Vinny asked Suki if this was about Eve, and Suki’s powerful response resonated massively with those who have had similar experiences.

‘I think it’s about me.’

In that one line, it became clear just how far Suki had come. To some people, this may not have seemed like anything special, but the underlying meaning of those five words said so much.

Over the years, we have seen Suki battle with internalised homophobia, and seen how scared she has been of being her true self. In that beautiful, powerful line, it was clear that she had finally come to accept who she really was.

Amid all of this, paired with the threat of backlash from killer Nish, it is not surprising that Suki waited until now to reveal her true feelings. Unfortunately, this made things difficult between her and Eve, who had been seeing new love interest Tessa.

With Tessa, Eve had a relationship that was transparent, out in the open and something she could shout about. Something that she had always wanted with Suki.

As Suki watched Tessa and Eve together, it gave her a glimpse into what her life could be like, and helped her to find the strength she needed to finally leave Nish and start fresh.

With her new found courage, Suki headed out to find Eve in a bid to ask her to come with her, and we once again got to see Suki fully embrace her authentic self.

‘You wanted me to shout it from the rooftops? I will, right now. Because this is who I am. This is me.’

And so, after almost two years of wanting, waiting and struggling, Suki was finally free, and fans of the couple couldn’t be more thrilled.

The time, care and attention to detail that has been paid to making this storyline as authentic and true to life as possible has been nothing short of exceptional.

Actress Balvinder Sopal has truthfully portrayed the intricacies of emotions that LGBTQ+ people experience during our coming out journeys with astounding accuracy, and has touched a lot of fans with her powerful performance.

Everything from the writing, to the direction, to the clear research that has been undertaken, has made this coming out storyline one of the best examples of LGBTQ+ representation in British media.

We can’t wait to see where it goes next.

Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) got a huge shock in recent EastEnders scenes when she was approached by sinister stalker Theo Hawthorne (William Ellis).

The last time we saw Theo on screen, he was lying in a hospital bed having been beaten with an iron by Freddie Slater (Bobby Brazier).

Freddie and Stacey were left terrified when they realised that Theo was unconscious, and soon Eve Unwin (Heather Peace) was helping them to make the crime scene look as though Freddie had acted in self defence.

Of course, viewers will know that Freddie lashed out at Theo to protect Stacey, as Theo was trying to rape her.

Despite their efforts, Freddie was arrested for attempted murder, but was able to stick to the story that Eve had given him.

Unfortunately, it was soon revealed that Theo had woken up, and that his story told a very different tale about the events of that night.

This week, Theo was due in court, which left Stacey incredibly on edge.

Not wanting to be at the hearing and witness Theo plead not guilty, she stayed away, getting regular updates over the phone.

While walking through the market, she was shocked to learn that the court had adjourned, but that wasn’t the biggest surprise she was going to get.

Theo immediately approached her from behind and said nonchalantly said hello, leaving Stacey gobsmacked.

Hollyoaks spoilers follow for Thursday’s (November 23) episode that is now available to view on Channel 4 streaming. The episode in question will air on E4 on Friday November 24 at 7pm.

Ethan Williams (Matthew James Bailey) decided to take one final chance on love as he resolved to propose to Sienna Blake (Anna Passey).

The popular character, as viewers know, previously dated soulmate Sienna for about a year, until Rafe Harcourt’s (Chris Gordon) arrival threw a spanner in the works.

Sienna made it her mission to woo Rafe in a bid to get her hands on his fortune. Ethan gave his blessing at first but the longer the plot went on the more he became uncomfortable, believing Sienna to have developed feelings for Rafe.

His fears were confirmed and therefore he ended the relationship, though has subsequently tried to talk sense into Sienna, urging her to let her obsession with Rafe go so that they can be together again.

Sienna, however, has refused to listen, with the latest streaming offering of the Channel 4 soap seeing her decide to interfere some more in Rafe’s engagement to Camilla Bassington-Hart (Dylan Morris).

Ethan, meanwhile, sought advice from Dave Chen-Williams (Dominic Power), who urged him to leave Sienna be and move on with his life.

Felix Westwood (Richard Blackwood), however, encouraged Ethan to show Sienna just how serious he is about her and therefore he came up with a plan.

He’s going to propose!

The question is: will Sienan say yes? Despite her efforts to win Rafe’s affection, it’s clear that she’s still in love with Ethan so will the popular duo get back together? Like, ever?

We live in hope that Ethan and Sienna will reunite, but there’s set to be more heartache ahead, with Sienna uncovering a shock affair in upcoming scenes, which leads to quite a twist.

Ethan, meanwhile, receives a shock himself when a surprise resident kisses him at The Loft.

We can’t keep up!

Emmerdale’s Gemma Oaten was joined by EastEnders star Max Bowden and many more at the SEED Gala in London.

The 39-year-old former Yorkshire Dales resident, who developed anorexia at 10 before struggling with bulimia, took to the carpet on Wednesday evening for the event at Goldsmith’s Hall in London.

Gemma rose to fame for her parts in the ITV soap world, playing the role of Rachel Breckle in Emmerdale and Isla Haywood in Coronation Street. 

The star’s disorder prompted her parents to set up the SEED (Support and Empathy for people with Eating Disorders) charity to help others with the disease.

Gemma, who wowed and a turquoise gown, was also joined by This Morning regular Ranj Singh and Common As Much star Anthony Barclay.

This comes after the Rachel Breckle actress revealed she was recently in hospital after a fall.

She detailed the incident on her Instagram, telling followers she sustained an injured elbow.

During an update, she said: ‘Then I fell. Literally. Really badly on the walk home with Ruby on Wednesday night. I then went to A&E and discovered I’ve got some nice little chips of bone off my elbow and now I’ve a glamorous sling & a heap of painkillers.

‘Why am I sharing this? Well, to say – that’s life! It’s got it’s ups & downs, but it’s how you handle it that is the game changer.

She continued: ‘I’m so blessed for this week. I’m so grateful for the moments, the friendships & the support of all I’m striving for. But most of all I’m proud of myself & how I have reacted.

‘As the quote goes “our greatest glory is not in ever falling, but in rising every time we fall” CONFUCIOUS.

‘I’m grand, I’m feeling so positive and empowered and considering the girl I was – I am bloody delighted with the open, authentic, vulnerable, bounce back ability woman I am becoming.

‘Life is a journey. Keep learning. You matter.’

Back in June, actress Gemma recalled the incredible moment when she reunited with a lady called Joyce, who cared for her when she was diagnosed with anorexia at 11 years old.

Within the social media post, Gemma wrote: ‘Joyce looked after me when she was a carer at the unit I was admitted to with #anorexia at 11yrs old & given 24hrs to live.

A place that many who were meant to be helping me, treated me like I was nothing. Treated in a barbaric way, doing more harm then good [sic].’

She also said: ‘I tell the story of Joyce whose kindness I believe kept me alive [sic].’

Home and Away actress Ada Nicodemou shocked her fans on Sunday when she revealed she is ‘officially in love again’ in an Instagram post. 

The Leah Patterson actress, 46,who has been on the Australian soap since 2000, took to Instagram to share the happy news that her new love is her baby niece Mikaela.

In a series of snaps the soap was grinning from ear to ear as she cradled the newborn alongside her family.

She penned: ‘I’m officially in love – again! I’ve become an aunt for the second time our gorgeous little Mikaela ❤️ has just taken my breath away, literally couldn’t take my eyes off her, she’s the most adorable little girl. We are blessed 💕💕.’

Fans rushed to offer their congratulations, with one person replying: ‘Congratulations 🎊 enjoy both they grow so quickly they are so cute 😍have a good day with all.’

Another added: ‘Congratulations being a cool Aunty again.’

A third weighed in: ‘Ur nieces are very lucky to have a good aunt ADA.’

Home and Away will stage a triumphant return to screens in the New Year, with tragedy, terror and multiple traumas on the cards for the residents of Summer Bay.

The Channel 5 soap has taken its annual Christmas hiatus, with fans having been left with a mammoth cliffhanger that saw Justin Morgan (James Stewart) and Ada’s character Leah left to die.

Ever since Caleb Miligan (William Ash) made his Emmerdale arrival, fans have been wondering when we might meet his mysterious wife.

After all, she has been mentioned on and off, it was surely inevitable we would see her at some point.

The time has come – Ruby is about to make her debut and you can expect Caleb’s life to be thrown into chaos as a result.

Caleb is currently partaking in an affair with Tracy Metcalfe (Amy Walsh), simultaneously betraying his nephew, and Tracy’s husband, Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter).

He is even starting to display fledgling signs of obsession, getting jealous and possessive of his secret flame.

Tracy can’t resist the excitement, and there is no denying that there is a passionate spark between the couple.

It’s going to end in tears, and things will get worse when a big twist at Christmas will see them caught out by someone.

So Ruby’s debut couldn’t come at a worse time for philandering Caleb.

‘We’ve heard mention of Nicky’s mum and Caleb’s wife and we’ve just heard little bits from Caleb where’s he’s kind of said it’s all over between them and there’s nothing going on – but is that really true?’ show boss Laura Shaw pondered as she delivered spoilers to Metro.co.uk.

TV and film can often make us feel that people with disabilities don’t have sex, giving the impression that they either don’t want to, or are unable to.

Representation of the disabled community is welcome, but only when it’s authentic, which is why it feels refreshing to see Coronation Street focusing on the sex life of Paul Foreman (Peter Ash), showing that he has desires, and has sex.

As a member of the disabled community, the haunting thought of ‘if it weren’t for my disability, I would have found “the one”‘ continues to linger within me.

I previously dated a person where things ended because they couldn’t cope with my disability

I knew others would say I deserved better or, most often, that he was sacrificing something of himself, and I had to understand.    

I was taught that my disability was something to manage, and that I had to make up for it.

He could’ve been ‘the one’ – at least he hadn’t said, ‘I couldn’t f*** a cr*pple,’ or, ‘Can you have sex?’ like others before and after him.    

I grew up in a world that constantly undermined the worthiness and desirability of disabled individuals in relationships. I was young and didn’t know better. I didn’t know anything.   

I wish I had heard someone who looked like me or spoke like me say it on screen or in a magazine when I was younger, but the reality is people don’t expect us to have sex.

We’re left with half-truths and a mess of feelings — no fundamental understanding of the ins and outs of it all. We learn as we go, which can be unforgivably brutal and unsafe. 

This lack of representation and conversation surrounding disabled individuals’ sexuality has cost me. I am still unlearning the destructive lessons the media and broader society taught.  

It’s one reason James Moore has long advocated for his disabled character, Ryan Stocks, to have a romantic relationship in Emmerdale.

This representation reflects his experiences as a disabled person and resonates with countless others.

‘I think unlearning some of that stigma was a huge process, and then being able to build that confidence and self-worth took a long time,’ he reflected.    

Dr Anna Bramwell-Dicks, a Lecturer at the University of York, emphasised the importance of including disabled people in the writing, filming, and production process, to ensure appropriate representation of disabled individuals engaging in sexual relationships, and to counter the ‘pervasive but mistaken belief that disabled people don’t have sex’ and to finally ‘demolish these misconceptions.’  

We can see this through Corrie’s Paul. Since he was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease, he has embodied the ups and downs, the knocks and insecurities that many disabled individuals face due to societal conditioning.  

Peter Ash’s portrayal brings warmth, wit, and bittersweetness to the experience.

Elsewhere, in everyday scenes, David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd) shows a supposed kindness to Paul while discussing his experience with Shona after her head injury.

‘It just felt wrong, in a way, like I was taking advantage of her.’ Paul, anguished, retorted, referring to partner Billy, ‘I want him to take advantage.’

We should see these conversations on screen more often, breaking down damaging attitudes and misconceptions, via the proper chats that disabled people have with their mates and partners in real life.

No matter how many heated fumbles or fulfilling experiences I have, there remains a part of me that believes those voices who disdain my desirability, who tell me I am not a sexual being, and that I can’t make those choices, are the ones that really matter.  

This representation in TV and film is also critical, because it sheds light on these insecurities and addresses the uncomfortable reality of how non-disabled people often view the sexuality of disabled individuals.

It allows disabled viewers to see a character who is unapologetic about their needs, openly discussing their desires and struggles with feeling desirable. Saying you’re disabled and horny is still a radical act. 

It presents a much-needed alternative narrative, giving young disabled people a chance to see themselves reflected on screen, and feel able to embrace their sexuality without shame or judgment.   

In this complex world of desires, uncertainties, and societal pressure, disabled people are constantly burdened with the nagging question, ‘do you still fancy me?’

We navigate the intricate dynamics of relationships, fearing they may unintentionally feel like a patient-carer scenario, which teaches us to be grateful and not to expect too much.

This belief that we burden others intensifies our internal struggle. It is the way Paul, a voice of reason, articulates the truth that resonates, ‘it’s normal to want sex, you know?’

For some, the idea of being disabled and horny remains a radical state of being, a realm shunned from public discourse. But here, it feels authentic, almost painful in its vulnerability and honesty.    

In scenes like these, we can see a future where disabled people don’t have to spend years unpacking the harmful messages ingrained in society, making us feel undeserving of relationships and desires.

Viewers have been gripped by the latest BBC drama Boat Story, and one person is serving as a familiar face for EastEnders fans.

The series follows two strangers, played by Daisy Haggard and Paterson Joseph, who discover a mass of illegal drugs on a boat that’s washed up on shore.

They decide to team up in the hope of scoring their fortune after being down on their luck… but then, they end up having the mob and the police to contend with.

In the new show, actor Craig, 59, plays henchman Guy, who works for The Tailor and is given the task retrieving the lost shipment of illegal drugs.

However, fans remember the actor as notorious ‘hardman’ Danny Sullivan on the BBC soap.

Dan came to the Square originally as the boyfriend of Carol Jackson (Lindsay Coulson), before it was revealed that he’d previously had an affair with her daughter Bianca (Patsy Palmer) – which he then rekindled.

The character played a huge role in the Who Shot Phil Mitchell storyline, which aired way back in 2001.

Altogether Craig appeared in 137 episodes as Dan, and when last heard of the character was living in Spain – so in theory could return at any time.

When the truth was revealed and Carol and Bianca departed Albert Square, Dan was left on his own and decided to buy Grant’s (Ross Kemp) share of the pub – for a fiver!

Quick spoiler, Dan didn’t actually shoot Phil Mitchell in 2001.

It was Lisa – Phil’s ex and Louise’s (Tilly Keeper) mum. The moment where Lisa was revealed as the shooter was watched by 22 million people!

The 59-year-old, has appeared in a variety of films since his role in EastEnders including voicing characters in video games such as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.

He’s also appeared in Hijacked and played Pat Tate in the Rise of the Footsoldier film series.

EastEnders left fans horrified with a recent scene that saw Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) manipulated into lying about her rape ordeal by Dean Wicks (Matt Di Angelo).

Linda was forced to lie about having been raped by Dean in order to stop him reporting George Knight (Colin Salmon) to the police for pushing him down the stairs.

As Linda was blackmailed into saying that she had had consensual sex with Dean and then lied about it, she had no idea that Dean was recording every word.

Following that traumatic ordeal which left many viewers extremely uncomfortable, Linda was understandably shaken, and desperate to put everything behind her and move on.

However, Dean wasn’t prepared to leave her in peace, stopping her in the street to thank her for her confession. The final straw for Linda was when Dean called her ‘L’ – the nickname husband Mick had for her, and she soon found herself turning to alcohol to numb her pain.

Thankfully, George caught her before she had the chance to take a sip, and reminded her how far she had come in her battle against alcoholism.

As George urged her not to drink, Linda broke down in his arms, only further proving what a detrimental affect her false confession had had on her mental health, despite mum Elaine Peacock’s insistence that they were ‘only words’.

However, Elaine changed her tune pretty quickly when George revealed what he had caught Linda doing, and soon Elaine was apologising profusely.

As Linda pointed out that Dean had won, Elaine encouraged her to take back her power. It wasn’t long before Linda had headed over to Beale’s Eels to do exactly that.

Pulling Dean aside, Linda made it clear that she had no intentions of forgiving him for raping her, and that she had only said what she did because he had blackmailed her.

When Dean said it was too late to take it back, Linda revealed that she didn’t care what he believed, because he couldn’t hurt her anymore and he had no hold over her family anymore.

Will Linda’s words be enough to make Dean leave her alone?

Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) has finally found the courage to leave abusive husband Nish (Navin Chowdhry) to start a new life with soulmate Eve Unwin (Heather Peace), and we couldn’t be more thrilled.

This week has seen Suki bravely open up to son Vinny (Shiv Jalota) about her true feelings towards Nish and Eve, with Vinny finally giving his blessing for her to go after the life she truly wants.

When Nish announced that he was would be out until late, Suki realised that this was her chance to leave, and quickly made preparations to put Albert Square behind her.

She was quick to put her plan in motion, arranging to stay with a friend in Glasgow and writing Nish a letter explaining everything.

Knowing that she would be all alone and fearing for his safety if Nish ever discovered that he had helped her, she asked Vinny if he would come with her. Vinny declined, but suggested that she fight for Eve, urging her not to have any regrets.

Though she had resigned herself to the fact that Eve had moved on, Suki decided that she couldn’t leave without giving it one more try, and headed off to try and find her.

Meanwhile, Eve was torn about what to do with new love interest Tessa. As she shared her feelings with Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner), she told her to remember how much Suki had hurt her, and think about how happy she is with Tessa.

Later, Stacey was surprised by a visit from Suki, who was on the hunt for her girl.

Unfortunately, Stacey wasn’t so keen on the idea of Suki and Eve riding off together into the sunset, and was quick to warn Suki off, pointing out that Tessa gave Eve the freedom of not having to hide their relationship – something she believed that Suki would never be able to do.

With Stacey telling Suki that if she really cared about Eve, she should let her go, Suki decided to give up the fight and head to the tube station, unaware that in the Queen Vic Eve was breaking up with Tessa.

Tessa took the news well as Eve explained that she was still caught up on her ex, and wished her luck in winning Suki back.

Having overheard the conversation, Vinny soon swept in and urged Eve to go after Suki. It didn’t take Eve much time to deliberate before she rushed off to find her.

The pair were soon stood face to face at the tube station after problems with the trains had left Suki unable to leave, and they sat down for a long overdue and much needed chat.

As Suki asked Eve to come with her, Eve reflected on how they had tried to run in the past and ended up getting nowhere, though Suki swore that this time it would be different, as she was ready to be her true self and shout about Eve from the rooftops.

With the couple ready to start a new life together, Eve asked what the plan was, and after realising that there wasn’t one, she asked Suki if they could stay a few more hours so that she could support Stacey through her court case.

Suki agreed, before remembering the letter she wrote to Nish. Eve urged her to find it and get rid before he saw and put their whole future on the line.

What they didn’t know was that Nish had already arrived home…

Coronation Street has actually been hit with Ofcom complaints following a romantic scene with Paul Foreman (Peter Ash) and Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank).

Paul was diagnosed with motor neurone disease in emotional scenes earlier this year.

He originally thought he had injured his hand after being hit by the Underworld van, but soon learnt that his loss of movement was due to MND.

Since then, his condition has progressed, and he now relies on a wheelchair to get around. Things are only set to progress further for Paul, who will eventually lose the ability to speak.

In an episode that aired on Wednesday November 15, Paul and Billy visited a speech and language therapist, who explained how they could use equipment to replicate Paul’s voice.

Back at home, Billy suggested that they tried recording some things like the specialist had said, but Paul interrupted him with a kiss, saying that he was too busy ‘living life to the full’.

After a romantic afternoon on the couch, Billy and Paul read through the book they had been given, before reflecting on the reignited passion of their sex lives.

As Billy told Paul that he loved him, Paul pulled out his phone to record himself playing it back, so that he’d always be able to let Billy know that he loved him, even when he can no longer speak.

However, the episode has been hit with 52 complaints.

While some praised the intimate moment, others were thankful Billy’s guardian Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby) was elsewhere.

One person wrote on Twitter, aka X: ‘Thank Christ Summer didn’t go straight home lmao.’

Another added: ‘Not being Homophobic, but Summer has to sit on that.’ [sic]

Ever since Chris Clenshaw took over the role as EastEnders boss, fans have loved seeing the development of the BBC One soap and how introducing new characters – and bringing old ones back – impacts the current Walford community.

Of course, one of the biggest returns in recent years has been that of Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins). The EastEnders audience were left in shock earlier this year when it was confirmed Cindy was actually alive and now, she is living in Albert Square trying to fit back into London life.

An episode set in France allowed us to discover that Cindy was living under cover as Rose Knight shortly after her arrest 20 years ago.

The instalment also confirmed Cindy was in a relationship with Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) and living with their son Peter (Thomas Law).

When Cindy returned to her old home she was met with the Knight family. While living as Rose, Cindy married George (Colin Salmon) and gave birth to Gina (Francesca Henry) and Anna (Molly Rainford), but was told to leave the family for protection purposes after she travelled from Marbella to Walford following Lucy Beale’s murder.

Elsewhere, Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) was left horrified a few weeks ago when Dean Wicks (Matt Di Angelo) headed back to the Queen Vic pub.

Last seen in 2016, Dean is now working alongside Cindy and Ian for their new pie and mash business, and living in Walford because he needs to be close to daughter Jade, who is unwell and in hospital.

EastEnders has been on our screens for over 35 years and while it’s important for the soap to be modern and current, the return of old characters not only excites fans but certainly brings an element of nostalgia to the show.

Chris Clenshaw has been reflecting on his time as the boss of EastEnders so far and when asked about bringing more characters back, there was one name at the top of his wish list.

‘Grant Mitchell, for more brotherly drama with Phil!’, he said during a chat with TV Times.

Grant was last seen in 2016, when he reunited with his family for Peggy Mitchell’s (Barbara Windsor) funeral.

Way back in January, Ross Kemp was once again asked about reprising the role.

‘I don’t think you can ever say never, you know?,’ he told The One Show hosts Alex Jones and Jermaine Jenas, who posed the question from a fan on social media.

‘I loved the part, I did it for 10 years.

‘I must have liked it because I stayed there for 10 years. But, you know, look, it was great fun, I loved the cast, it was a great job. [I’m] doing lots of different things right now, but never say never!’

Coronation Street spoilers for next week follow, with a picture gallery above teasing all the shocks and twists to come on the cobbles.

Joseph is unwell and, on Bernie Winter’s (Jane Hazlegrove) advice, Gemma (Dolly-Rose Campbell) makes him a lavender tea in the hopes it will perk him up.

Joseph, however, passes out, with Chesney Brown (Sam Aston) later calling the ambulance. Chesney blames himself, wishing that he’d listened to Gemma, who previously voiced her concerns.

The doctor subsequently reveals that Joseph has been poisoned, leaving everyone reeling in shock.

Later in the week, a child protection officer shows up, wanting to interview Gemma. With everyone out of the house, Caitlin questions a horrified Gemma and suggests that she may have poisoned Joseph on purpose.

Will Gemma be able to prove otherwise?

Elsewhere on the Street, Ed Bailey (Trevor Michael Georges) is shocked when Sarge arrives for the holidays earlier than expected. Ronnie (Vinta Morgan), meanwhile, suggests a big family meal out, insisting that he and Ed will pick up the bill.

Having taken out a payday loan, Ed scans the racing pages and later watches the racing on his phone while Sarge makes digs.

Dee-Dee (Channique Sterling-Brown) quietly explains to Joel that Sarge thinks they lost their house because of a bad business decision, not Ed’s gambling.

Nina Lucas (Mollie Gallagher), meanwhile, assures Asha Alahan (Tanisha Gorey) that she’s looking forward to lunch with Isla and her senior colleague, Miles, as it’s time they got to know each other’s friends

Nina arrives at Speed Daal in time to hear Asha bigging up her to Miles and Isla and explaining that she’s a budding fashion designer.

How will Nina react?

Coronation Street airs these scenes between Monday November 27 and Friday December 1 at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX.

Neighbours spoilers follow for Thursday’s (November 23) episode that is now available to stream on Amazon Freevee.

Reece Sinclair (Mischa Barton) made a huge decision in the wake of finding out that sister Krista (Majella Davis) is alive and well, resolving to return home to the US.

The businesswoman had received the upsetting news that her father Conrad, who is an investor in Lassiters, had suffered a stroke and therefore she decided it was necessary to head home and take the reins.

The news came as a shock to Byron Stone (Xavier Molyneux), who has fallen head over heels in love with Reece, with the two having become quite serious in recent months.

Paul Robinson (Stefan Dennis), meanwhile, was left grinning with glee, delighted to have Reece, who he long suspected was a spy sent by his father, out of his hair.

The two foes shared a frosty exchange, with Reece telling Paul that she hopes he goes to jail for his role in the whole Krista scandal.

After packing up her belongings and taking one final look around the complex, Reece had Chloe Brennan (April Rose Pengilly) order her a cab, before sharing a heartfelt goodbye with her beloved Byron.

No, you’re crying.

This brings to an end Mischa Barton’s stint on Neighbours, with The OC star having featured regularly since the popular soap returned to screens courtesy of Amazon Freevee.

Charley Webb and Matthew Wolfenden have announced their split after five years of marriage.

The pair who met on the set of Emmerdale originally began dating in 2007, and have three children, Buster, 12, Bowie, six, and Ace, three.

They shared a joint statement on Instagram to confirm the separation, which presented a united front.

‘It is with love and respect that Matthew and I have decided to separate. We remain friends and our priority is the love for our children. For their sake, we would appreciate privacy at this time,’ Charley’s post read.

While Matthew, 43, posted an almost-identical paragraph but swapped his own name for 35-year-old Charley’s name.

Their social media activity first sparked fans’ suspicions that they had perhaps called it a day.

Matthew – who recently left Emmerdale after 18 years in the role of David Metcalfe – unfollowed his wife on Instagram, before re-following, according to The Sun. He has not commented on any of her recent pictures or posted about her in over a year, and Charley’s grid has also been Matthew-free.

A source told the publication: ‘Charley and Matthew were in very different places in their lives when they first got together.

‘Three kids later and with new careers in the mix, everything has changed and perhaps they are no longer the unit they once were.’

Last week, Charley admitted to ignoring life. In her Instagram Story, the former Debbie Dingle actress posted a cryptic message which read: ‘Ignoring life and all the jobs I need to do. Also, I want more piercings.’

Matthew proposed on Christmas day in 2009, and after a brief split in 2013, the couple eventually tied the knot on February 10, 2018, although the wedding came as a surprise to their guests.

They were joined by 100 guests at Ripley Castle near Harrogate who thought they were attending Charley’s 30th birthday – when in fact they were getting married.

‘I’m not a big one for marriage, to be honest. It’s not that important to me,’ Charley told This Morning in 2019.

‘But this just felt a good way to do it, because it took the pressure off of everybody asking me a million questions – “What’s your dress like? Who’s going to be your bridesmaid?” – and I didn’t want any of that.

‘The attention is also too much. It just felt like a lot of attention.’

Both actors have left their roles on Emmerdale in recent years. Now, Matthew is playing Buddy the Elf in the newest revival of the musical, based on the 2003 film starring Will Ferrell.

Meanwhile, post-Emmerdale Charley bagged herself a role in ITV police series The Long Shadow which dramatises the five-year manhunt for the serial killer Peter Sutcliffe, commonly known as the Yorkshire Ripper.

Viewers were taken aback when the mystery of who ‘murdered’ evil rapist Craig was answered – with Ice the horse unmasked as the culprit.

We’re still recovering from this somewhat bizarre turn of events, but Kim Tate (Claire King), who left Craig to die along with Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley), has been keen to put events behind her.

Good luck, though, cos this is a soap and the show’s boss Laura Shaw has confirmed to Metro.co.uk that the truth is about to explode.

But how will Lydia Dingle (Karen Blick) react when she learns what her boss and friend did?

‘Lydia is still struggling after her horrific ordeal at the hands of Craig and we’ll see that continue forward,’ Laura shared.

‘Lydia and Sam will find out what happened that night – that will all come out. How is Lydia going to cope with that news? How will Sam cope with that news?

‘It’s going to really test Lydia and Kim’s friendship which I know we all absolutely love. We’ll see in the new year if they can get their friendship back on track.

‘Similarly for Sam and Lydia – are they ever going to get through this? Hopefully the new year’s going to bring some new hope for them.’

They certainly deserve it!

While Cain also played a key part in Craig’s fate, he is very much occupied elsewhere across the coming months, leading to an almighty clash with a close relative.

Since Aaron (Danny Miller) returned, he has been bitter and angry with the world, picking conflict and causing chaos in his wake.

It will lead to an explosive showdown with Cain, which will send shockwaves through the Dingle family.

‘Aaron and Cain are not getting on very well at all at the moment, I think it’s safe to say,’ smiled Laura.

As he gets more and more agitated, his search for answers leads to a showdown – but Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) remains sure they can have Reuben home.

The pair continue to take risks – and it looks like it is about to come back to bite them…

Monday November 27

It’s David’s birthday but the day is awkward for Victoria and Jacob as speculation is high regarding who Jacob’s new girlfriend is.

Gabby is the prime suspect but David worries that the subject is taboo because of Leanna, leaving Jacob feeling even worse.  

Despite the gossip Jacob and Victoria can’t resist the opportunity to use the empty house for a bit of fun. They have to scramble when David unexpectedly arrives home.

Seeing straight through Jacob’s excuses, and intending to greet the ‘mystery’ partner, David is shocked when Jacob tells him he was right – it’s Gabby. Upstairs Victoria listens in, cringing.

After David leaves, Jacob reassures her Gabby will go along with his lies but Victoria’s panicking because she’s lost a bracelet David gave her.

Meanwhile in the pub David teases oblivious Gabby and she’s left baffled. Finding Victoria’s bracelet on the floor at Jacob entices her into a relieved kiss.

But, unbeknownst to them, dumbstruck David has seen them through the window. 

Mack returns home from another night of searching. Amy fears she’ll never hear from her sister again.

Desperate Mack confronts Amy and Matty again for news, who are shocked to see him so low.

Charity is resolute they will get his son back. 

Failing to connect with Laurel and the family, Suni is shocked when Amit decides it’s time for him to return to India. 

Gail is pushing Ryan to be more open with his feelings 

Tuesday November 28

There is still unfinished business between Caleb and Tracy.

Before long under the guise of a business transaction, Caleb admits his attraction to Tracy and they have a passionate kiss. 

The next day Suni attempts to convince Laurel to change her mind regarding her attitude to Amit whilst also to change his Dad’s mind about leaving.

Laurel tries to find out from Nicky why Amit punched him, neither aware Amit is watching suspiciously, worried his secret could get out.

Tracy’s flustered when Caleb asks her to meet him back at his place after the pub.

Suni books a night out with Nicky, Gabby and Ethan for the next day.

But with Suni untrusting whether Nicky has kept the secret he dumps him, but is instantly regretful. 

A pep talk from desperately hopeful Charity reassures Mack that they will find Chloe and Reuben.

Thursday November 30

Tracy’s determined to put all thoughts of Caleb behind her and convinces Nate to take an afternoon off together.

At Cain’s birthday drinks, Tracy’s flushed to have Caleb sitting so close to her, and finds an excuse to head into the toilet corridor. Caleb follows her and the passion fizzes and they kiss.

Almost caught by Cain, they head back through to the Woolie Bar, Caleb uneasy to see Tracy go back to Nate.

Dramatic secrets are coming to light in EastEnders next week, with Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry) finally discovering that his wife Suki (Balvinder Sopal) is in love with Eve Unwin (Heather Peace).

As they make a pledge to get away from Walford, the net closes in on them and evil Nish plots his revenge to tear them apart.

With lapdog Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) by his side, Nish’s dark plot takes form.

Meanwhile, Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) is battling with her own guilt, having covered for Freddie (Bobby Brazier) over Theo’s attack.

Soon, she finds herself opening up to Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) – maybe not the best choice, given he is a policeman…

Monday November 27 

Suki is panicked when Priya reveals she knows the truth, and offers to pay her £2000 for her silence which Priya counters to £3000.

Suki accepts after Priya threatens to grass Vinny up to Nish and later hands over stolen money from the call centre but they are both unaware that Nish is secretly watching the exchange.

Stacey is still reeling at Theo’s attempts to make contact on the day of his plea hearing, asking to meet. Stacey is reluctant, but after Lily opens up about her worries for her mum to Ricky, Stacey decides to go.

At the meet, Stacey tries to manipulate Theo into pleading guilty by promising to restart their ‘relationship’ once he’s served his time but Stacey starts to worry if she’s made the situation worse as Theo reacts badly to her suggestion.  

Mitch organises a surprise birthday party for Karen in The Vic, but he soon becomes suspicious of her cash flow when she agrees to pay for a large drinks tab.

Mitch continues to try and repair the relationship between Karen and Keanu and  the pair edge closer to a reconciliation following a heart-to-heart.

Karen and Keanu are stunned to see Malcolm appear at the party and Albie taking a shine to him… 

Tuesday November 28  

Nish intercepts Suki’s cash exchange with Priya and questions her motive. Priya lies and inists Suki took the money so that she and Avani could find their own flat after her and Nish’s kiss but he refuses to let Suki hand over the money. 

Suki scrambles to find the funds and gives Priya £200 from the Minute Mart till but she demands the full amount or she’ll blab.

Vinny closes up at The Minute Mart and informs Nish that the tills are £200 short. Nish investigates the CCTV but is horrified to discover footage of Suki and Eve kissing… 

Jean tries to discourage Stacey from attending Theo’s plea hearing, but Stacey is certain that she wants to be there. Martin and Jack support Stacey as she anxiously waits for Theo to give evidence.

Karen and Keanu panic when Malcolm arrives at the party, fearing his involovment in Albie’s kidnapping will come to light.

After an innocent chat with Sharon, Malcom is disgusted to learn about his involvement in Karen and Keanu’s staged kidnapping.

Wednesday November 29

Nish smashes up The Minute Mart in a fit of rage and heads to No.41 before he’s stopped by Ravi who takes him to Walford East to clean up.

Nish reveals all to Ravi and heads back home determined to find out the truth.

Jack comforts a drunken Stacey after she tearfully confesses her fears about Theo. Jack takes Stacey back to No.27 to sober up where Sam, who is temporarily living there, tells Jack about her dislike of the Slaters.

Once alone, Jack is shocked when Stacey admits that she planted the wrench on Theo to cover up Freddie’s actions and make it look like Theo tried to attack her.  

Keanu heads to No. 29B and demands Karen hand over the ransom money but she refuses before the pair are interrupted by Mitch.

Keanu makes a quick exit, but Mitch demands the truth as Karen tearfully reveals all.

Mitch is disgusted to learn about Karen’s involvement in Albie’s kidnapping and insists they must give the money back .

Jack tells Stacey that due to his position, he must inform the authorities of Stacey’s confession.

Stacey details her actions and pleads with Jack to keep quiet, which he reluctantly accepts. The pair have a heart-to-heart about the past as Stacey is touched by his support.

Someone’s going to be found dead on the floor of the Queen Vic this Christmas in EastEnders – and it could be abusive Nish Panesar, admits actor Navin Chowdhry, who plays him.

Ever since February’s shocking flash-forward showed a horrified Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) discovering the dead body on Christmas Day, fans have loved coming up with theories on who it might be.

The sneak peak at the Christmas crime scene saw Linda, Denise Fox (Diane Parish), Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean), Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth), Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) and Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) – known by fans as The Six – standing over the mystery body.

And with controlling, violent Nish about to find out about wife Suki’s love affair with Eve Unwin (Heather Peace), could he be the victim?

‘It’s well documented how many people want Nish dead,’ says Navin.

Nish is set to find out the truth about Suki and Eve’s love affair when he sees them kissing on CCTV in the Minute Mart, which leaves him so angry that he smashes up the shop.

‘The heartbreaking, jealous rage will consume him on so many levels. He has this blind, disproportionate love for Suki that deludes him into thinking it will be reciprocated.

‘So hearing that she is involved with someone else is such a dagger to his heart.’

Could Nish’s violent reaction ultimately lead to his murder?

‘People have questioned whether he knew about Suki and Eve’s affair – but I think it’s clear he didn’t,’ says Navin.

‘He might have thought they were up to something business-related or doing something dodgy with money – but Nish is so paranoid, so jealous and possessive that the idea of Suki being with anyone else is beyond him.’

‘It’s a betrayal because it’s humiliating and degrading for him. The idea that his wife was able to hide that from him when he thought he was absolutely in control of her, her feelings and her actions, is the biggest blow.

‘His anger is off the scale – it might be the angriest we’ve seen him. We know what this man is capable of – he has killed because of jealousy before.

‘He is prepared to kill for the love of his life.’

Nish rocked up in Albert Square in 2022 after serving 20 years in prison for murdering a man who got too close to Suki.

Growing up, Navin learned about domestic violence through his mum, who ran a charity in the Bristol area for 25 years to help victims of it.

‘Unfortunately we live in a world where domestic violence happens and that should never be shied away from.

‘I’m now playing a character that my mum spent her life’s work saving people from. You need to create characters like Nish to show how hateful and destructive this behavour is.’

So will Nish be killed off at Christmas?

‘He’s been pretty much the number one suspect for a long time. All I can say is he will be featured on screen on Christmas Day to ruin your Christmas dinners.’

Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant) and Victoria Sugden (Isabel Hodgins)’s relationship has been a guilty secret in Emmerdale for some time now. Jacob first expressed feelings for Victoria when she almost killed him by giving him food that contained nuts, triggering his allergy.

Of course it was an accident, but a near-death experience made Jacob see things in a new light and it wasn’t long before Victoria realised that she felt the same about him. Initially they resisted their feelings for each other, but eventually gave in to their passion.

They’ve had to keep things secret, though, because they know it would break David (Matthew Wolfenden)’s heart if he found out as he still has feelings for Victoria himself.

Leyla (Roxy Shahidi) and others quickly worked out that Jacob had a new girlfriend, and have been trying to get him to talk about who she might be.

Speculation is high on that topic in an upcoming episode, leading to some uncomfortable moments for Jacob and Victoria as it’s also David’s birthday and they don’t want him getting close to the truth.

Everyone thinks the secret girlfriend is probably Gabby (Rosie Bentham) anyway, but David calls a halt to the speculation believing that Jacob is sensitive about having a new girlfriend out of respect for his former girlfriend Leanna Cavanagh (Mimi Slinger) – who died at the hands of Meena Jutla (Paige Sandhu).

Jacob and Victoria decide to go back to the empty house for a bit of alone time, but it’s not long before David unexpectedly comes back home, causing them to panic.

David knows that Jacob has got somebody in the house and announces that he’s going to greet Jacob’s mystery girlfriend. Panicking, Jacob tells his dad he was right – his mystery girlfriend is Gabby!

Jacob reassures Victoria after David has gone that Gabby will go along with the lie and will cover for him – and that’s soon put to the test when David finds Gabby in the Woolpack and can’t resist teasing her about her new romance with Jacob.

Will Gabby go along with it, as Jacob hopes, or could David discover that his former step-son has been lying to him?
