EastEnders legend Natalie Cassidy shared some words of wisdom to her Instagram followers.

The actress made her arrival in 1993, with Sonia Fowler soon becoming a firm favourite for fans thanks to her iconic behaviour and love for playing the trumpet.

One of Sonia’s earliest storylines – which is still talked about today – saw her give birth without knowing that she was pregnant.

The soap star, 40, recently shared a glowing selfie alongside some motivating words for her 394K followers.

She wrote: ‘You never know what’s around the corner. Enjoy every day you have, enjoy meeting new people, enjoy good food, enjoy your friends and family, just enjoy it all. Happy Hump day!

It seems as though fans needed to hear that uplifting message as one replied: ‘Nice positive start to Wednesday thanks Nat.’

Another added: ‘Positive start. Thanks Nat. Looking beautiful as always.’

A third agreed: ‘Thank you. That is just what I needed to read to start my day today.’

Natalie, who has been hailed an all-round icon, was feeling reflective on her socials recently and decided to share an inspirational post confirming 2023 is the 30th year she has played Sonia.

The actress shared an Instagram post that featured actor Cillian Murphy. Underneath, a quote from the Oppenheimer star said: ‘A director told me that it takes 30 years to make an actor. And I believe that. You have to learn your craft, learn your trade – and also you have to live a life and experience things’.

The character is currently on an IVF journey with partner Reiss Colwell (Jonny Freeman). After Sonia expressed her worries over not being offered the treatment on the NHS because she already has a daughter, Reiss revealed that he had an account full of money that he’d forgotten about, and there was enough inside to pay for three or four rounds of treatment.

However, what he didn’t tell her was that the money actually belonged to his wife Debbie, who has been living under full-time care since suffering a stroke in the bath.
