Danny Cipriani has been snapped cosying up to his Strictly Come Dancing partner Jowita Przystal a week after announcing his split from his wife.

Last night the former England rugby star, 36, was revealed as one of the six celebrities set to appear on the BBC dancing series’ Christmas special, in which he has been paired with Jowita, 29.

His casting on the series also comes after he last week announced the breakdown of his marriage to wife Victoria Rose, whom he married in 2021.

This week Danny met his dancing partner for the first time, with the pair already appearing to have developed a close bond.

They were pictured together on Wednesday night after their first four-hour rehearsal session in North London.

In the series of snaps, the pair were leaving a studio and stopped for a chat, with one shot showing Jowita putting her hand on Danny’s arm before they leant in for a hug to say goodbye for the night.

A few hours earlier, Jowita announced their coupling on the show with some snaps of them in the studio.

‘Christmas is just around the corner and I’m so happy to share with you I’m gonna rock around the Christmas tree with this superstar Danny Cipriani,’ she wrote.

‘Very excited about our dance, guess what it’s gonna be,’ she added.

Soon after Danny commented, writing: ‘You are a phenomenal teacher and person!! Loving it all!! Can’t wait to do the…’, adding some star and dancing emojis.

When being announced as part of the line-up, Danny said that whilst he had ‘always enjoyed the concept’ of Strictly, it wasn’t something he ever thought he’d do.

‘After addressing my own ideas and beliefs, I am very much looking forward to expressing myself through dance with no limitations,’ he explained.

The other stars set to compete are Sugababes legend Keisha Buchanan, BBC Breakfast star Sally Nugent, actress Tillie Amartey , broadcaster Dan Snow, and EastEnders star Jamie Borthwick;

Danny and healthcare campaigner Victoria married in 2021 after dating for just 11 months.

Announcing their split on social media, he notably appeared to get the length of their marriage wrong when writing: ‘Victoria and I sat together this weekend and agreed to separate after 4 years of marriage.’

‘Whilst we’ve had some wonderful times together, we’ve also recognised we’re on different journeys and whilst this is sad news, it’s also a new chapter for us both to pursue our own happiness. I only wish the best for Victoria and her children.’

However soon after his ex said she had been blindsided and was ‘made aware of the situation at the same time as the public’ and said he’d ‘publicly announced our split without any prior notice or discussion with me’.

‘I was made aware of the situation at the same time as the public, and this has caused me a great deal of pain,’ she added in a since-deleted statement.

Danny previously dated a string of celebrities including Lindsay Lohan, Katie Price and Kelly Brook.

Jowita is also thought to be single after splitting from fellow Strictly pro Giovanni Pernice earlier this year.

I’m A Celebrity star Frankie Dettori had lens implants on his eyes before heading into the jungle.

The 52-year-old jockey and former pro boxer Tony Bellew joined the other campmates – including the likes of This Morning’s Josie Gibson, YouTuper Nella Rose and First Dates star Fred Sirieix – on Thursday’s episode.

Before heading into camp, Frankie revealed he underwent a ‘simple procedure’ on his eyesight because he couldn’t ‘read without glasses’ anymore.

‘I’ve had some lenses put inside. It was a simple procedure. Obviously, you know time heals things,’ he told the Mirror.

‘The bright light really affected me. Especially in the mornings when my eyes were still tender.’

However, he insisted it’s the ‘best thing’ he could have done, and it’s already having a profound impact on his day to day life.

He added: ‘But, it’s the best thing I’ve done actually. I can read without glasses and can see long it’s great. I’m glad I did it.’

The procedure – which is known as refractive lens exchange (RLE) – sees the actual lens removed from just behind the front of the eye and replaced with a man-made version.

Meanwhile, Frankie revealed his five children have begged him not to ’embarrass them’ in the jungle.

‘I got the same message from everyone “dad don’t be embarrassing”. I said I can’t promise that,”‘ he quipped. ‘I don’t know what that means but all five of them said, “dad don’t be embarrassing!” ‘

And he has insisted he isn’t going on I’m A Celebrity for the money, as he knows his kids will all want ‘their slice’ of the payday.

‘When you have five children, all the fun is taken out of it! I’m sure they’ll want their slice,’ he teased.

‘I’ll be honest here, it’s not about the money, I was doing it, you know because I’ve been asked so many times to do it, I thought if I let this opportunity go this time then perhaps when I’m retired and a nobody, then I might not get another chance.’

Strictly Come Dancing star Carlos Gu has explained why he burst into tears in an emotional moment after last week’s live performance.

The pro dancer, 30, is partnered with TV presenter Angela Scanlon, 39, with the pair leaving Saturday’s Blackpool special with 38 points, just one point behind Layton Williams and Nikita Kuzmin, and Ellie Leach and Vito Coppola.

Their incredible score left Carlos so overwhelmed and bursting with pride, unable to hold back his tears when chatting to Claudia Winkleman.

‘She’s been down for quite a few weeks, and hearing that, I’m just really happy,’ he said at the time, confirming they were tears of happiness.

During an appearance on It Takes Two with Janette Manrara, Carlos further explained what he was feeling in the moment.

He said: ‘It was just unexpected, the comments, and the scores.’

He went on to say that ‘what gets him the most’ is the judges finally seeing what he does in mum-of-two Angela.

‘I was so relieved and proud.’

Talking about Carlos’ reaction, Angela added: ‘It was a very special moment, we’ve got a really special bond and it was very emotional for both of us.

‘I don’t show my emotions as well as Carlos, it was a moment I won’t forget.’

The pair went on to joke about how their bond is so ‘special’ – with Angela even laughing about how she painted Carlos’ nails behind-the-scenes.

This comes after Carlos was spotted looking a bit teary-eyed after rehearsals for this week’s live show.

Sat beside Angela in the back of a taxi in London, Carlos hid his face behind his pink hoodie.

The pair have had a wild journey on Strictly, with Angela sharing candid updates to social media during rehearsals, including, how she cured her blistered feet with bleach!

Earlier on in the series, Angela found herself in controversy after being reported to the police of a video where she hung out of a car window and danced as the vehicle moved, before later apologising for the ‘incredibly dangerous’ incident.

Since then, Angela and Carlos have managed to save themselves from a new ‘curse’ – the dreaded Samba, and have survived in the competition, becoming one of the six remaining couples returning to the ballroom on Saturday.

Strictly Come Dancing continues on Saturday at 7.30pm on BBC One and iPlayer.

BBC Breakfast viewers were left concerned after Charlie Stayt and Naga Munchetty were evacuated from the studio.

The pair had been reporting live on Friday morning, when the show was suddenly pulled off air.

A news report was interrupted and cut to BBC News, leaving viewers concerned, as behind-the-scenes Naga and Charlie were rushed out of the building, with a live report from Aerospace Bristol changing to a broadcaster covering the Israel-Hamas war suddenly.

‘Hope everyone in #BBCBreakfast studio is ok and it’s just a technical glitch,’ one person wrote.

Another commented: ‘It’s weirdly unnerving.’

Someone else said: ‘Building was evacuated – #bbcbreakfast is back. Phew!’

‘I hope everyone is OK on @BBCBreakfast Odd switch to @BBCNews,’ a fourth penned.

Returning to the red sofa after several minutes, Naga explained: ‘You’re returning to BBC Breakfast.

‘Apologies, we had an evacuation in the building but we are back now with you to keep you up to date with the latest in the news.’

It has yet to be confirmed whether the evacuation was for a fire alarm or another incident.

This wouldn’t be the first time a BBC fire alarm has interrupted live programming.

In March last year, presenters Rachel Burden and Roger Johnson were midway through conducting an interview with The Apprentice winner Harpreet Kaur when they were interrupted.

‘We’ve been disturbed by an alarm which may mean that we have to slow things down for a moment,’ Rachel said, after an alarm went off.

‘I’m so sorry everyone. For the time being, we’re going to have to leave the studios.

‘So we’ll see if we can come back before the end of the show,’ she explained.

Over the alarm, a voice could be heard saying: ‘Attention, attention, please evacuate the building via the nearest exit. Please do not use the lifts.’

I’m A Celebrity stars Nella Rose and Fred Sirieix appear to be back on track after their row but fans have some thoughts.

The two campmates had an intense clash earlier this week after First Dates star Fred, 51, said he felt like the 26-year-old YouTuber’s dad because of their age gap.

However, Nella – who lost both parents at a young age – said she felt ‘disrespected’ by his comments, although the Road Trip presenter profusely apologised.

She accepted his apology but told him to not talk to her and to stay away from her in the camp.

On Thursday, they were both part of the Locker Shocker challenge, and as two of the five celebrities who won the task, they have had to live in a more intimate setting.

Things seemed to thaw for the pair after they volunteered to pair up on the Slam Dunk’d challenge, and they even shared a high five after winning a slap-up breakfast for their team.

While fans were delighted to see the unexpected ‘plot twist’ by the end of the trial, other viewers have speculated that I’m A Celeb bosses may have got involved off camera.

‘Defo reckon [producers] had word in private with Nella to say she’s proper hated and 100% leaving if she doesn’t make up with Fred,’ one fan suggested on X/Twitter.

‘Nella has definitely been told off by producers for how she acted towards Fred. She’s been much nicer towards him this episode,’ another viewer replied, while a third person added: ‘Shame that producers have clearly stepped in between Nella & Fred’.

And someone else said: ‘With someone else also agreeing: ‘Nella 100% has been told by itv producers to fix up, she’s hugging and praising Fred within a click of a finger.’

Others had simply taken delight in the fact the pair had fixed things and looked ready to move on.

‘Ahhh that put a smile on my face I’m glad man! Nella and Fred smashed that,’ wrote one viewer, as another added: ‘You guys are more bothered about the Nella and Fred beef more than they are. You can get over it now.’

There had been online backlash to Nella’s initial response to the row, which TV star London Hughes said on X was loaded with ‘racial prejudice.’

The 34-year-old comedian wrote: ‘Whether you choose to believe it isn’t my problem. But there’s real hatred in these tweets aimed at Nella! It’s dripping with racial prejudice.

‘Words like ”sub-human” and “disgusting animal” to describe a black girl you disagree with on a family entertainment show? Really?’

London is not the only celebrity to have defended Nella’s reaction to Fred, with Loose Women’s Janet Street-Porter calling him a ‘weirdo’, while others had defended him over the incident.

Fred’s First Dates co-stars Cici Coleman and Laura Tott, meanwhile, previously said on This Morning that arguments in a ‘pressure cooker’ environment were inevitable.

Cici said: ‘They are going to have moments where things are misconstrued, misunderstood and it’s normal, things will happen.’

Late actor Matthew Perry was honoured during a Thanksgiving celebration in New York City.

The Chandler Bing star’s death devastated Friends fans around the world last month after Perry was found dead in his hot tub at age 54.

Results of a toxicology report to determine his cause of death are still pending.

Tributes have flooded the internet since the shocking news broke and Perry is still being remembered in special ways, such as the annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade.

In a subtle but sweet moment, singer Jax performed a cover of Jet’s Are You Gonna Be My Girl while on top of a Toys ‘R’ Us float.

She wore a grey sweater imprinted with a shot of one of Perry’s famous scenes in Friends.

The scene in question showed Monica wearing a turkey on her head, with a shocked Perry as Chandler beside her.

Taken from the episode titled The One With All The Thanksgivings in the 90s sitcom, the flashback scene involves Monica recalling when she tried to embarrass Chandler by seducing him into stripping off as revenge for calling her ‘fat’ once.

Her plans backfired, though, when she almost chopped his toe off by dropping a knife.

Fast forward to the ‘present day’ and an upset Chandler storms out, with Monica later placing the turkey on her head as a joke to get them back on good terms.

The tribute from Jax didn’t go unnoticed by fans, who took to social media to point it out.

‘Jax with a nice tribute to Matthew Perry. Very very cool’, one viewer tweeted alongside a photo of their TV.

‘Love Jax’s special Friends Thanksgiving tribute t-shirt. Matthew Perry, this one’s for you’, wrote another.

‘Jax wearing a hoodie with Matthew Perry has my heart melting’, one penned.

Perry’s Friends co-stars have all shared tributes of their own following his death, beginning with a joint statement before posting their own messages online.

‘We are all so utterly devastated by the loss of Matthew. We were more than just cast mates. We are a family,’ they said in a joint statement sent to People.

‘There is so much to say, but right now we’re going to take a moment to grieve and process this unfathomable loss.

‘In time we will say more, as and when we are able. For now, our thoughts and our love are with Matty’s family, his friends, and everyone who loved him around the world.’

It’s believed David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc, Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, and Lisa Kudrow are now planning a new way to remember Perry with a reunion of sorts.

According to reports, the iconic cast are in early talks to appear at the Emmy Awards in January, where they will share ‘personal memories’ of their late friend and colleague.

‘When it comes to Matthew’s death, emotions are still running high and it is still a very touchy situation, which is totally understandable,’ a source told the Daily Mail.

‘But Jen, Lisa, and the rest of the cast want to honour him publicly at some point and give him the tribute he so rightfully deserves – and there have been rumblings to do it at next year’s Emmys.’

Perry – who was very open about his substance abuse issues – during his life was laid to rest on November 2, with his loved ones gathering to say goodbye at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Los Angeles’ Hollywood Hills neighborhood.

The cemetery where Perry’s service was held is the final resting place of many other stars, including Michael Jackson, Elizabeth Taylor, Carrie Fisher, and Paul Walker.

David Tennant took another chance to show his support for the trans community at the Rolling Stone Awards on Thursday night.

Doctor Who’s returning star, 52, stepped out in a sleek black suit and jacket at the Roundhouse Theatre in Camden where he picked up the sci-fi epic’s award for Best TV Show.

And he completed his look by accessorising with a Doctor Who-themed Tardis badge, specifically one designed in the colours of the trans pride flag.

The Scottish star has long been a champion of LGBTQ+ causes and has been spotted in the past donning pro-trans and non-binary pin badges and T-shirts.

It’s a move that’s gone down well on social media, with Whovians everywhere praising him once again for his efforts.

‘David Tennant being so loud about supporting the LGBTQ+ community and even helping raising money by promoting pride Tardis pins – that man has my heart.’

Sales of the Tardis pins, which are made by Dr. Jamie Gallagher of ProudScience, have gone through the roof, with £4,000 raised for charity this week.

Asked about the pins by Attitude magazine on the red carpet, Tennant called them ‘amazing’ but insisted he couldn’t take any credit for their popularity.

‘[They’re] amazing [but] I can’t really take any credit… It’s just something that I think is rather lovely and important, and it suits what Doctor Who’s all about.’

Tennant marked Trans Day of Remembrance earlier this week by wearing the same trans pride Tardis pin badge on The One Show on Monday night.

He appeared on the BBC evening talk show with Alex Jones and Jermaine Jenas to discuss the upcoming 60th anniversary special episodes of Doctor Who.

Coming back to the role of the Doctor for the first time in a decade, Tennant sat beside returning Doctor Who showrunner and writer Russell T Davies.

And for some Whovians watching at home, there were two reasons to celebrate as Tennant showed his support for the trans community once again.

Looking smart in a navy blue suit, the actor completed his look with a sky blue, white, and pink badge, signalling his support for trans rights.

Trans Day of Remembrance is recognised annually on November 20, memorialising those who have been murdered or have died as a result of transphobia.

Watching at home, one person commented: ‘Seeing him always so proudly wear that pin brings such joy to my heart. He is a hero!’

Another viewer said: ‘Nothing purer today than David Tennant talking about how doctor who got him into acting while wearing a Tardis pin in trans colours because he is that ally.’

The badge is part of a set made by Etsy manufacturer Dr. Gallagher, which also features a rainbow flag Tardis design and a bisexual pride flag Tardis design.

ProudScience’s set has proved to be a very popular one, with Christmas orders already sold out after thousands were sold over the last few days.

And it’s not the first time Tennant has worn such a badge on TV, with the Des and Litvinenko actor donning the same one on The Last Leg last Friday.

And Dr. Gallagher revealed his excitement at seeing his creation worn by Tennant as he tweeted about watching The Last Leg live.

‘The Doctor himself, David Tennent wearing my little trans Tardis on The Last Leg!,’ he excitedly commented, showing people where they could buy his pins.

Back in July, Tennant was also spotted wearing a non-binary pride badge while promoting the second season of Amazon Prime series Good Omens.

Earlier in the year, he turned up to a live episode of Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway while wearing the non-binary pride badge as well.

As for showrunner Davies, he had words for anyone upset by the fact the upcoming 60th anniversary episodes has a trans character played by trans actress, Heartstopper star Yasmin Finney.

He said at a press event ahead of the episodes airing that he knew there were some people ‘full of absolute hate, and venom, and destruction and violence who would like to see that sort of thing wiped off the screen entirely.’

And to anyone who held those views, he said: ‘Shame on you and good luck to you in your lonely lives.’

Amy Dowden is feeling like she’s in ‘limbo’ with her monthly injection appointments.

The 33-year-old Strictly Come Dancing pro, who was diagnosed with breast cancer in May – has been undergoing treatment and recently finished chemotherapy and she admitted it’s a bit ‘strange’ now her routine has gone.

Taking to her Instagram Stories, she shared a video of the moment she rang the cancer treatment bell earlier this month.

She wrote on Thursday: ‘Can’t believe it’s a whole two weeks ago! I’m off to the unit again today for my monthly injection.

‘But it does feel strange as when your in chemo cycles there’s such a routine and atm you feel a little in limbo!

‘But still so very proud of this moment!’

Last week, the dancer revealed she had fractured her foot and needed to wear a medical boot, which sadly put an end to her plans of joining her fellow pros on the dancefloor this series after being unable to take part in the competition.

‘Not the week I was hoping for since finishing chemo. Port out but unfortunately gained a boot for a fractured foot. 💔,’ Amy had posted days before last weekend’s big Blackpool show.

‘Absolutely gutted and heartbroken as this means the plans for me to dance in the Strictly Ballroom this year are no longer possible. This is what has kept me going the past few months.

‘2023 is certainly not my year, roll on 2024 I say!’

She later shared an emotional update, saying in a clip, where she looked more cheerful: ‘I’ll pop in and see the guys tomorrow, I watched some more dancing, and it’s definitely cheered me up.

‘I’ve not smiled since Tuesday and now I’m smiling again. Just watched some wonderful dancing tonight and I’ll continue to do so over the weekend.’

She added that the support she’s received ‘means the world’, concluding: ‘It’s been a rubbish week, but feeling better now.’

Earlier this year, Amy revealed that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer, before undergoing a mastectomy in July.

The dancer began chemotherapy after doctors discovered more tumours, before ringing the bell to mark her final round of treatment this month.

I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! hosts Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly have admitted they are ‘in trouble’ after making a cheeky joke on air.

On the latest episode of the reality series, campmates shared their opinions on former boxer David Haye’s ‘throuple’ arrangement.

Not missing their chance to weigh in, the hosts also referred to their own respective marriages and made a cheeky quip about ‘throuples’, but quickly seemed to regret their joke.

‘You might not know this but Ant and I are in a throuple,’ Dec teased speaking to viewers.

Ant agreed, saying: ‘We are. We both have one partner who means more to us than anything, who is the love of our life.

Jumping back in his co-host said: ‘And then we’ve got our wives!’

The pair then burst out laughing and agreed they were in ‘so much trouble’.

Ant has been married to Anne-Marie Corbett since 2021, while Dec tied the knot with Ali Astall in 2015 and they have two children together.

Their comments came after the arrival of retired boxer Tony Bellew, who was a latecomer to camp on Thursday night’s episode.

During a discussion with campmates, conversation turned to his former professional rival David Haye.

Earlier this year the 43-year-old boxer generated plenty of attention for appearing to couple up with not only girlfriend Sian Osborne, 30, but former The Saturday’s singer Una Healy, 42.

While none of the three officially addressed the rumours while together, David appeared to confirm the relationship on Valentine’s Day as he paid tribute to the ‘Queens’ in his life.

Now, their arrangement has been discussed in the camp after the arrival of Tony Bellow, 40.

During Thursday’s night episode, David’s unconventional relationship was mentioned by Grace Dent and Nigel Farage.

While Tony did have to ask his campmates what a ‘throuple’ was, once he found out, he threw his support behind it before backtracking.

It was actually Farage who alerted him to what it was, explaining: ‘He was living with two birds’.

‘Oh, David’s living the dream, believe you and me,’ Tony then exclaimed.

But he added: ‘I don’t get it. I can just about deal with one to be honest.’

Considering the possibility of being in a throuple, This Morning host Josie Gibson made her thoughts known and shared: ‘Imagine being the other woman though?

‘I don’t… I couldn’t do that.’

Their discussion began when Tony gave an insight into his career and how it was only when he began to fight David that he made his fortune.

Tony said he was ‘skint’ before his first fight with the heavyweight boxer, which saw him make the most money he had ever made. 

Tony said he used to antagonise David before the fights and even though he beat him twice, he still thought his archrival was the ‘better fighter’.

Earlier this year, Una, claimed she was ‘hoodwinked’ into the relationship with David, whilst he was also dating Sian.

Una revealed she had been looking for a monogamous relationship but decided to date polyamorous David because their romance was ‘casual’.

But after a group holiday to Costa Rica she knew the situation ‘wasn’t right’ and she wanted out.

‘There’s no dynamic there – she’s not my girlfriend – he’s both our boyfriend and I just thought, “I’m out, you can have him”,’ she told Vogue Williams and Joanne McNally on their My Therapy Ghosted Me podcast.

However, Sian appeared to brand Una a ‘liar’, with The Sun later reporting that she shared a dictionary definition of the word hoodwinked to her social media.

I’m A Celebrity fans have breathed a collective sigh of relief as Nella Rose and Fred Sirieix appeared to bury the hatchet after a distressing clash.

The relationship between the campmates became strained after First Dates star Fred, 51, said he felt like her dad because of their age gap as the YouTuber is 26.

Nella, however, who lost both parents at a young age, said she felt ‘disrespected’ by the comments when the Road Trip presenter apologised.

While she accepted the maitre d’s sorry, she told him: told him: ‘I don’t want to eat no food that you’re cooking, don’t talk to me, you stay over there, I stay over here and we can live.’

But on Thursday’s night episode, the celebrities were set the Locker Shocker challenge, with the winning five campmates moving to a new luxury camp.

Both Nella and Fred were among the five celebrities who aced the task, forcing them to live in a more intimate setting.

But it was long before the previously feuding duo reconciled, opting to volunteer in a challenge called Slam Dunk’d, much to the delight of Danielle Harold.

In the Bush Telegraph, the EastEnders actor exclaimed: ‘Fred and Nella have both volunteered to go out for the challenge today… I reckon this will bond them even closer.’

Nella and Fred went head-to-head with Hollyoaks actor Nick Pickard and JLS star Marvin Humes from the losing camp, with the prize being a slap-up breakfast.

Fortunately for world order, Nella and Fred smashed the task and even shared a high-five as they gleefully returned back to camp as champions.

ITV viewers on X, formerly known as Twitter, were thrilled the feud had been ‘squashed’, with many predicting they would now become ‘best friends.’

One delighted fan enthused: ‘Ahhh that put a smile on my face I’m glad man! Nella and Fred smashed that#ImACeleb.’

‘You guys are more bothered about the Nella and Fred beef more than they are. you can get over it now #ImACeleb,’ another commented.

A third raved: ‘Nella and Fred shooting hoops acting like besties wasn’t the plot twist I was expecting this evening #imaceleb.’

There had been online backlash to Nella’s response to the row, which TV star London Hughes said on X was loaded with ‘racial prejudice.’

The comedian, 34, wrote: ‘Whether you choose to believe it isn’t my problem. But there’s real hatred in these tweets aimed at Nella! It’s dripping with racial prejudice.

‘Words like ”sub-human” and “disgusting animal” to describe a black girl you disagree with on a family entertainment show? Really?’

London is not the only celebrity to have defended Nella’s reaction to Fred, with Loose Women’s Janet Street-Porter calling him a ‘weirdo.’

She said on the ITV show: ‘In Nella’s defence, I found Fred incredibly patronising,’ she began.

‘I mean, he’s not serving food in a restaurant now, he’s not dealing with difficult customers.

‘I can see that what he said to her could’ve offended her and also, looking at her backstory, her parents came from the Congo, they went to Belgium, both of her parents died within a few months of each other…’

Janet continued: ‘It’s not Fred’s fault and he will not be aware of it, but that will inform how she reacts to him.’

Fred’s First Dates co-stars Cici Coleman and Laura Tott, meanwhile, previously said on This Morning that arguments in a ‘pressure cooker’ environment were inevitable.

Cici said: ‘They are going to have moments where things are misconstrued, misunderstood and it’s normal, things will happen.’

Doctor Who fans have been thrilled that David Tennant is returning to the long-running show but on-one is more excited than his wife and their children.

David, 52, keeps his family life fairly private but is quietly married to Who co-star Georgia Tennant, occasionally sharing their everyday antics such as disaster shopping trips.

The 38-year-old producer actually met David on set in 2008 while appearing on Doctor Who in the role of the Doctor’s daughter, Jenny.

Together they have five children – Olive, Wilfred, Doris, Birdie – including Georgia’s eldest child Ty who the Good Omens actor adopted.

David and Georgia take their children’s privacy incredibly seriously but in celebration of the big milestone, the excited mum shared a family snap.

The Ahsoka actor beamed from ear to ear as he held his youngest and hugged his family, although their faces were covered.

Georgia also shared a promotional picture of her and David from Doctor Who as well as a throwback snap of her in character as the Doctor’s daughter.

She shared her ‘deep’ connection with the show in the caption, which reaches into her childhood too as she is fifth doctor Peter Davidson’s daughter.

‘Ugh gosh where do I start?! Doctor Who has always been there, embedded deep in the fabric of my existence and it seems it always will be,’ Georgia wrote in her caption.

She continued: ‘During childhood it entertained me with weekends spent in convention halls with my dad. As I grew up it gave me a career and then in an unlikely timey wimey series of events gave me a family and now my children will tell a similar (but even less likely) story.

‘It’s a joy to be part of the Who family in every sense of that. Thank you for it all. Happy Birthday old boy x ‘

‘Where am I?’ teased Ty who was not in the group picture but has followed in his parents’ footsteps becoming an actor.

Eagle-eyed fans spotted that one of their children, believed to be Wilfred, was rocking a top which said: ‘Lets get one thing straight, I’m not.’

Last year Georgia confirmed their 10-year-old now uses they/them pronouns with both parents being vocal allies of the trans and non-binary community.

David frequently is seen supporting the LGBTQ+ community in numerous ways, including attending the Rolling Stone UK Awards on Thursday, November 23, wearing a trans Tardis pin.

Doctor Who is often seen as a safe space for queer fans, and in a kick-ass statement, returning showrunner Russell T Davies told Metro.co.uk that was something he wanted to nurture.

He told anyone who didn’t want diversity in the cult sci-fi show: ‘Shame on you and good luck to you in your lonely lives.’

The 10th Doctor signed up for three special episodes to mark the British icon’s 60th anniversary before Sex Education’s Ncuti Gatwa takes on the role.

Following Jodie Whittacker’s groundbreaking female doctor, Ncuti will be the first person of colour in the role.

‘It’s something I and a lot of other writers are keen to do – to be progressive, to reflect more of society,’ Russell added.

Doctor Who will return on Saturday 25th November on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.

I’m A Celebrity campmates have been reportedly urged by ITV to be wary of blood-sucking leeches after they invaded the jungle.

It’s been claimed there has been an onslaught of the parasites in the camp, which has recently welcomed two latecomers, due to severe storms hitting Australia, with the wet weather providing the perfect conditions for the critters to thrive.

MIC’s Sam Thompson, 31, and Hollyoaks actor Nick Pickard, 48, have been particularly targeted by the leeches, who reportedly set upon them in a surprise attack.

As a result, producers have been forced to warn celebrities to stay hyper-vigilant around the unwelcome guests as they’re blood-zapping could drain their limited energy levels.

A source said: ‘Sam had a leech attach itself to his foot and Nick had one on his hand – the rain has brought them all out. Production has told the celebs to take extra care and be vigilant.’

They continued to The Sun: ‘Whilst leeches fall off naturally once they’ve drunk their fill, if the celebs are feeling weak, tired and hungry anyway it’s far from ideal.

‘There’s also the risk that the leeches’ entry site can become infected so it’s a big issue.’

And that’s not the only animal intrusion the stars have had to contend with this year after venomous snakes also descended on the jungle due to the ‘humid’ weather Down Under.

The programme’s Health and Safety Officer Jeremy Douglas said:  ‘We have had a lot of snakes on the site this year, possibly because it has been so humid.’

Jeremy continued to The Sun: ‘We have had pythons and non-venomous and venomous species.

‘You get small eyed snakes and brown tree snakes predominantly.’

Executive producer Laura Woolf confirmed there has already been 15 snake sightings, but admitted it will ‘get worse’ when the 10 celebrities enter the jungle this weekend, because they tend to leave food around.

She added to the publication: ‘We’ve had 15 snake sightings across the site and then we’ve had to identify some venomous ones in camp.

‘It gets worse when the celebs come in because they leave food everywhere. It’s like they don’t realise they’re living in a jungle!’

Even hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly have been acquainted with a snake after spotting one near their apartment in Australia.

It’s reportedly thought to have been an Eastern Brown Snake, which is considered the world’s second-most venomous land snake.

Ant and Dec will have to keep their eyes peeled when on the beach and in the surrounding area. The snake has been spotted exactly where they hang out between shows and brown snakes are not to be messed with,’ a source from the show claimed.

‘Snakes are part of Aussie life but it is still scary to think one of these was slithering around so close by,’ they added to The Mirror.

Growing up to seven feet (two metres) in length, the Eastern Brown Snake is known for its defensive displays – often mistaken for aggression – which will see it coil its neck into an ‘S’ shape, rising off the ground and opening its mouth, ready to strike.

They are responsible for the most deaths from snakebite in Australia than any other group of snakes, and are also very fast, thought to be able to outpace a human running at full speed.

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! star Nella Rose has been defended by TV star London Hughes after being slammed for her explosive row with Fred Sirieix.

Some ITV viewers have criticised the way the YouTuber handled the argument with the First Dates star on social media, which imploded when he said he felt like her dad.

Nella was upset by the remark, made by the Road Trip presenter in reference to their respective ages- he is 51 and she is 26, because she lost both parents at a young age.

Fred did not realise the faux pas until the next morning, when Nella began repeatedly ignoring him, and then apologised when she explained she felt ‘disrespected’ and her ‘feelings were hurt.’

Nella begrudgingly accepted the maître d’s sorry but told him: ‘I don’t want to eat no food that you’re cooking, don’t talk to me, you stay over there, I stay over here and we can live.’

Taking aim at the X, formerly known as Twitter, users who have cruelly called for Nella to be ‘cancelled’ over the debacle, London pointed out the bashing has been loaded with ‘racial prejudice.’

The comedian, 34, wrote: ‘Whether you choose to believe it isn’t my problem. But there’s real hatred in these tweets aimed at Nella! It’s dripping with racial prejudice.

‘Words like”sub-human” and “disgusting animal” to describe a black girl you disagree with on a family entertainment show? Really?’

Echoing London’s sentiment, Metro.co.uk‘s Alicia Adejobi previously explained the argument was ‘uncomfortable’ because she was aware that ‘as a Black woman on reality TV, the public reaction would paint Nella as the villain but to the extreme (which has happened).’ 

She wrote: ‘The whole thing was uncomfortable to watch in every sense; that Fred didn’t understand what he did wrong, the fact he didn’t really do anything wrong, that Nella overreacted to the situation but also that she thought he would intentionally be insensitive about the death of her parents.

‘It was also uncomfortable for me because I knew that, as a Black woman on reality TV, the public reaction would paint Nella as the villain but to the extreme (which has happened). ‘

London is not the only celebrity to have defended Nella’s reaction to Fred, with Loose Women’s Janet Street-Porter calling him a ‘weirdo.’

Challenging him, she stated: ‘I bet you anything if every single immigrant or from immigrant descent was to leave the UK, all your doctors, go… most of your doctors are Asian right? Most of your nurses are African women, right?’

Hoda Kotb just proved that she’s the coolest mom ever as she sent her children a secret signal, while presenting the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade show.

The 56-year-old is mom to daughters Hope and Haley, who she shares with ex-partner Joel Schiffman.

Earlier today, the Today Show favorite was hosting the broadcast of the annual parade alongside Savannah Guthrie, and gave the youngsters a blink-and-miss-it shout out.

As her co-host revealed that the grand arrival was just ‘moments away’, the mom-of-two very quickly wiped her teeth with her finger.

To the uninitiated, this might look like a simple gesture to rid some excess lipstick, but Hoda confirmed the truth behind the move on yesterday’s episode of the Today show.

‘Every year, I do a signal for my kids so that they know that Momma is looking at them,’ she told Jenna Bush Hager.

‘Haley and Hope think I should blow a kiss.’

Jenna turned to her daughters off screen to enquire about what she had done in previous years, with Haley revealing that she ‘pulls her ear’.

Addressing the audience, Hoda let everyone in on a little behind the scenes secret, confessing: ‘What I usually do for Jenna – and she does for me too – before we go on, usually there’s lipstick right here.’

‘So, what about this move? How about it? For you…,’ she laughed, demonstrating the teeth wipe.

‘I told her that might be too dramatic, but I’m into it,’ Jenna quipped. ‘Will you really do that?’

‘If you double dog dare me, I’ll do it. Look for it,’ she added.

Never change, Hoda.

The star was notably away from our screens for two weeks earlier this year, leaving Today show viewers worried about her absence.

She returned to our screens in March, explaining that her youngest daughter had been rushed to ICU over health issues.

Sharing an update during a chat with People Magazine in May, Hoda added: ‘Hope’s doing much better, much better,’ she said. ‘I think it’s going to be a longer road, but she is doing great.

‘We have figured out kind of a rhythm and life throws all kinds of curve balls at you and it’s sort of like what do you do with it, and it’s funny because no matter what you go through if you look over to the left or over to the right, someone else is going through something much more difficult.

‘So we say count our blessings, let’s move forward, let’s have a real fun summer, and let’s just keep it rolling.’

Two latecomers have been confirmed to be joining the cast of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! 2023 – former professional boxer Tony Bellew and jockey Frankie Dettori.

The arrival of the newcomers will undoubtedly shift the dynamic in camp, as they join famous faces including Nella Rose, Fred Sirieix, Josie Gibson, Nigel Farage and Jamie Lynn Spears.

As viewers prepare to watch the duo take on Bushtucker Trials for the first time, there will undoubtedly be increased interest in their careers and live pre-dating their time on the ITV show.

Bellew, whose wife is Rachael Roberts, is best-known for his accomplishments as a boxer, going on to also appear in Michael B Jordan’s Creed movies as antagonist Ricky Conlan.

He has also gained attention in the past for controversial remarks, such as when he gave his view on UFC boss Dana White slapping his wife, and was accused of sharing a ‘conspiracy theory’ regarding the Covid-19 pandemic.

Tony Bellew’s criticised remarks over Dana White incident

Earlier this year, Bellew shocked people on X (formerly Twitter) when he gave his view on a violent incident that occurred between UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) CEO White and his wife, Anna Stella.

During a New Year’s Eve party in 2022, the couple were captured on video fighting, with Stella slapping her husband before he slapped her back.

White later told TMZ that there was ‘no excuse’ for his actions, before saying in a press conference that he ‘owned’ his actions, adding when discussing what the appropriate ‘punishment’ would be: ‘This is how I’m labelled now.’

In a tweet responding to White’s press conference, Bellew wrote: ‘I don’t condone men hitting women in anyway shape or form but I must also say I don’t condone women slapping men and expecting nothing back!

‘Dana White has owned this an fair play to him. The punishment is his life is played out in public. Imagine others done what he’s done here!’

One person responded to Bellew’s comment: ‘Horrendous take,’ while another wrote: ‘Incredibly disappointing statement of whataboutery and gaslighting.’

‘You literally just said you didn’t condone it and in the same sentence condoned it!’ someone else added.

Expressing his belief that James Bulger killers should have been ‘gassed’

In 2018, Bellew posted a tweet in reference to a documentary called The Bulger Killers: Was Justice Done? airing on Channel 4.

In 1993 when he was two years old, James Patrick Bulger was abducted, tortured and murdered by Robert Thompson and Jon Venables, both of whom were 10 at the time.

Thompson and Venables became the youngest convicted murderers in modern British history in February that year.

In 2017, Venables was sent to prison for the possession of child sexual abuse images that were found on his computer.

On February 5 2018, Bellew tweeted: ‘9pm tonight Channel 4! The Bulger Killers: Was Justice Done?

‘I’ll answer this question before it’s even aired! NO justice wasn’t done! One is now a registered peadophile an multiple offender while the other is also a scumbag to! They should of both been gassed when they done it! [sic].’

While there were some people who agreed with Bellew’s takes, others condemned him calling for children to be ‘gassed’, even if they had committed a barbaric crime of the most heinous nature.

Squaring up to SAS: Who Dares Wins star Ant Middleton

In 2020, Bellew competed on the Channel 4 reality TV programme Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins.

During the series, the boxer had a ‘clash’ with host Ant Middleton, admitting that he had been prepared for their tension to build up to an actual fight.

‘That was a clash of two lions. I was ready to just go for it. I really was,’ he told The Mirror (via MailOnline).

However, he added: ‘Thankfully, I took a breath and walked away.’

In a clip from Celebrity SAS, Bellew and Middleton could be heard swearing at each other, while the former carried another contestant over his shoulders.

When Bellew and some of the other celebrities missed getting on transport vehicles in time during a task, he squared up to Middleton, who continued to lambast him for falling behind ‘enemy lines’.

Despite Bellew being the one to approach Middleton, he then said that he ‘understood’ what the infuriated instructor was saying.

Middleton continued: ‘If you want to f**king take it out on me, crack on,’ while Bellew responded: ‘It’s my f**king fault,’ before taking some deep breaths.

Accused of spreading ‘conspiracy theory’ over Covid-19

In September 2020, months after the Covid-19 pandemic spread the globe, Bellew complained on X about the negative impact the outbreak was having.

In a post, he wrote: ‘Pandemic or Plan-Demic?? I don’t know? It’s ruining people’s lives!

‘Shield the vulnerable and let’s get things moving for the last time! Every time I turn this on I just see people looking to hurt themselves or worse yet commit suicide! PLEASE SPREAD POSITIVITY!!’

One person responded to him: ‘Don’t fall into the conspiracy theory rabbit hole. Virus’ come from nature. They’ve been here on earth before humans. The real crux of all diseases is over population.’

Another individual urged him to ‘stick to boxing’, while someone else quipped: ‘“SPREAD POSITIVITY”… oh and conspiracy theories.’

They continued: ‘It’s a s***e situation but to think governments want this, is barmy.’

‘Jumping to defence’ of Dominic Cummings during Covid

In May 2020, it emerged that Dominic Cummings was being investigated by the police for breaking lockdown rules, months after the pandemic began, when he was reportedly seen at his parents’ home in Durham, more than 250 miles away from his home in London.

The chief adviser to former Prime Minister Boris Johnson was later reported to have broken lockdown rules for a second time, by visiting his parents’ home.

While Cummings received widespread condemnation for his actions, before resigning in November that year.

In response to the controversy, Bellew tweeted: ‘I don’t give a s**t about one man driving the length of the country to get his kids minded!

‘Now if he threw a party with 50 strangers I’d say he’s bang out of line Let’s be honest the media are making out like he’s a proper killer or something! Report something that’ll HELP US!’

In response, one person tweeted: ‘You are so wrong on this one, Tony. Shame on you, pal,’ but Bellew stuck to his guns, responding: ‘One man travelling to his parents shouldn’t be all over our news stations! I don’t give a s**t about politicians there all the same!’

Complaining about impact of Covid restrictions on sport

In October 2020, Bellew expressed his frustration on Twitter over the fact that people in certain areas of the country, such as Liverpool, could not go to gyms or leisure centres as part of the Covid-19 restrictions that had been put in place by the government.

However, in other areas such as London, hundreds of people were allowed to go to the Palladium theatre while covering their mouths with face masks.

Sharing a picture of crowds of people sitting in a theatre, with some separated by seats between them, he wrote in his tweet: ‘All of sport is suffering! Our city is on complete LOCKDOWN!

‘WTF is this about! Gyms closing! Are you lot f**king INSANE! Your making people weaker by closing gyms yet it’s fine for thousands to gather in here! Just fuck off! [sic].’

Other people also criticised venues such as the Palladium being packed with attendees, while football fans weren’t allowed to watch matches from stadiums.

In a post on Twitter, Piers Morgan wrote at the time: ‘How can the London Palladium be packed like this last night for an event with Arsene Wenger, but football fans aren’t allowed to watch matches outside even socially distanced?
I’m completely bemused. 👇.’

Ahead of the former UKIP leader entering the jungle, there was significant backlash to his casting, with some even calling for a boycott of the series.

In the few days since he’s been in camp, he’s already had heated exchanges with several of his co-stars, but it was a political statement on air last night that has now also got people talking.

After being asked plenty of questions by some campmates, Farage, 59, then said he would ‘never say never’ to the prospect of running for Prime Minister.

However, his comments clearly incensed the Good Morning Britain host, 52, who criticised the former politician, who stood for election to the House of Commons seven times, but failed each time.

As Susanna watched back the clip of Nigel refusing to rule out running for head of the Tory party, she couldn’t hold back her disgust.

‘Nigel Farage addressed the rumours that he may at some stage be elected leader of the Conservative Party and may in fact stand in election as leader of the party and become Prime Minister,’ she said.

‘He wasn’t quick to rule it out! Honestly Nigel, don’t be so disingenuous!

‘You’re desperate to stand for Prime Minister!’

She added: ‘What’s all this “I don’t know?” That’s what he’s in it for!’

On Wednesday’s episode radio presenter and Made in Chelsea star Sam Thompson asked Nigel: ‘Who’s your favourite prime minister, ever, in your lifetime?’

Nigel replied: ‘Really, in my lifetime, two prime ministers who’ve been really strong, who have changed the country – one’s Thatcher and one’s Blair.

‘I didn’t like the way Blair changed the country at all, but I have to admit he was a strong leader. And Margaret was a very strong leader – they were tough times. But she changed the country completely. Completely.’

EastEnders actor Danielle Harold then asked if he would ever consider running himself.

‘I dunno – we’ll see. Depends how much mess the country gets in. I honestly don’t know, I mean it’s not an easy job,’ he replied.

‘As for little me, there’s a lot of speculation. After they lose the next election, oh, maybe Nigel becomes leader of the Tory Party one day.’

Speaking in the Bush Telegraph afterwards, Nigel said: ‘So, there’s a lot of chatter about it, whether it’s going to happen I have no idea.

‘The important thing though is to say this: never say never.’

The comments after Farage claimed he could be Conservative Party leader ‘by 2026’ after attending this year’s Tory conference.

In just a few days he has already clashed with co-stars, arguing with social media star Nella Rose over his views on immigration, while First Dates’ Fred Sirieix called Farage ‘shameful’ following a discussion about Brexit.

Kate Garraway has confirmed that her husband Derek Draper is back in hospital in a new update.

Derek, 56, still requires full-time care after suffering serious complications after contracting Covid-19 in 2020.

Appearing on Thursday’s Loose Women, Kate, also 56, offered an update on her husband’s health while also singing the praises of carers to mark Carer’s Rights Day.

The day is all about highlighting unpaid carers and their rights, which Kate did eloquently this week.

Touching upon Derek’s return to hospital, the mum-of-two said: ‘He’s actually back in the hospital at the moment, I haven’t talked about this, but not the horrific drama fortunately, because there have been lots of referrals and cancellations.’

She added: ‘He’s gone back in for something that began last year that he needed the second part of.

‘So, it’s a positive hospital thing, but hopefully won’t be in for too long.’

Kate was also promoting her new book, The Strength of Love, in which she charts Derek’s long road to recovery and the challenges that come with being his carer.

Announcing the book in September on Instagram, Kate wrote in part: ‘I must admit it has been so tough to write but that’s because I have had to go into some of my darkest thoughts and experiences, but I also wanted it to be a positive read for you too.

‘I have so much to be thankful for and so many people have shared so much love with me and my family, and I really wanted to share something helpful back.’

She added: ‘This book is about Derek’s ongoing battle to take back control of his body and mind, the amazing people who have helped us along the way and how love in all its forms can pull you to the brink one moment, and lift you up the next.’

Kate regularly speaks on life as a carer for her husband, with whom she shares two children, and how he is progressing health-wise.

She’s also released two documentaries on the subject: Finding Derek and Caring for Derek.

Tammy Slaton has shared a loving tribute to late husband Caleb Willingham, months after his death.

The 1000-Lb Sisters star, 37, initially met her former partner while attending a food rehab center and enjoyed a whirlwind romance, before tying the knot last year, with TLC cameras on hand to capture their love story.

They were thought to have gone their separate ways shortly after, with the trailer for the upcoming season five hinting at unrest.

Sadly, Willingham died earlier this year at the age of 40 – before the episodes were aired, with his family confirming the tragic news.

Slaton reflected on their brief romance in a new TikTok post this week, unveiling a poignant sunset design for his urn, which she kept on display surrounded by photos from their time together.

‘The sunset was our thing. We would set outside all afternoon until the sunset,’ she told fans.

‘In this picture is Caleb’s urn.’

In the carousel, set to the track, Love Is Gone, she opened up about his private memorial service, explaining that they released butterflies for the late star during the ceremony.

‘Even though I’m not in love with him but I will always love him and I miss him every day [sic],’ she added on one slide.

‘Things will get better.’

Fans quickly rallied behind the TLC icon in the comments below, reaching out to offer their support in Slaton’s grief.

‘He’s the reason you kept pushing he was your angel in the wrong time,’ one said.

Another penned: ‘I really am sorry. I know it’s not easy. Some days are easier and then it hits you out of the blue that it’s real. You just want them back..’

A follower agreed: ‘You don’t have to be in love with someone to love them and miss them! your strong and you will get through this!’

‘So sorry Tammy. Sending you all the love and healing energy,’ a TikTok user replied.

‘I hope you start healing from this soon. You have been through so much, but you deserve to have peace,’ a commenter agreed.

As a fan added: ‘You will always have a special place for him in you’re heart.. praying for you’re healing from the loss of him [sic].’

Willingham’s stepmother confirmed the news of her loss to TMZ in July, but his cause of death has not yet been confirmed.

Tammy later paid tribute on Instagram, before sobbing in another video, explaining that she was in the various ‘stages of grief’.

‘We were having problems, but I loved that man and I still do,’ she cried. ‘I miss him like crazy, but I wanted to thank everybody for your comments. I appreciate it, I really do.

‘I’m aware that he is looking down on me. He’s not in any pain anymore.

‘I know he’s in a better place.’

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here campmates, including Josie Gibson and Nella Rose, aren’t wearing red socks to make a bold fashion statement, the reality of the choice is much grimmer.

Alongside the trademark red shorts or trousers, blue top and khaki shirt, they also wear uniform socks. The colour, which has been a staple since the show began, is picked to mask any accidental blood seeping through.

The show’s former on-site medic, Bob McCarron, previously shared that as campmates are likely to be bitten by many varieties of creepy crawlies, such as leeches, it saves viewers from having to cover their eyes if they have an aversion to blood.

We have to thank ITV for this decision, as while we’re happy to watch celebrities slum it in the jungle, we draw the line at seeing medical issues through their socks.

Rochelle Humes, whose husband Marvin Humes is currently competing on the series, has spilt some more secrets about the socks. Who knew that the socks held as many secrets as Gretchen Wieners’ hair?

She disclosed on This Morning that Marvin was only allowed to pack one pair of socks, so celebrities must continually wash them. They are also only allowed three pairs of underwear.

If their feet are bare while the socks are drying then no wonder they get bitten! It socks to be them. That’s one way to sock it to them. *Insert your own sock joke here.

Another major part of the I’m A Celebrity get-up is the headwear. The Akubra Snowy River Hat, to use its official term, is available to buy from Hats by the Hundred who claim to supply the show.

If you fancy pretending to compete in the reality show in your garden, then you can purchase the kit for £139.

Marvin, 38, and Fred Siriex decided to keep their socks on but remove their hats and tops for a jungle workout.

The pair turned the Australian outback into The Gym Group doing a series of squats and getting a pump on by lifting their makeshift dumbells – rocks. At least in the jungle, they don’t have to awkwardly loiter by the occupied leg press machine.

Viewers marvelled at their impressive abs and were astonished that Fred had maintained his physique aged 51. He’s still young in our books, so ce n’est pas une surprise for us.

Fred Sirieix’s First Dates co-stars Cici Coleman and Laura Tott have spoken out after his explosive argument with Nella Rose on I’m A Celebrity.

The camp was thrown into chaos when Fred, 51, commented on his age to Nella, 26, saying that he was old enough to be her dad.

The following morning, YouTube star Nella revealed how upset she was, after having lost both her mum and her dad at a young age.

Accusing Fred of being ‘stupid’ after her blunder, she labelled him ‘disrespectful’, while he apologised profusely for the unknowing mistake.

Since the row aired, his partner has spoken out, saying his intention would ‘never be to upset anyone’, and now his co-stars have echoed the sentiment.

Appearing on Thursday’s This Morning with Alison Hammond and Rylan Clark, who branded the row ‘so uncomfortable to watch’, Cici began: ‘I think, look you’re in a pressure cooker with 10 people constantly, you’re not sleeping or eating, there’s a lot going on, this type of behaviour is going to happen.

‘They are going to have moments where things are misconstrued, misunderstood and it’s normal, things will happen.’

‘It’s just a misunderstanding,’ Laura added. ‘It’s really sad how it happened, and it’s just so hard to watch.’

‘My heart broke for him,’ she went on, saying: ‘I know how personally he would have taken it, he’ll be so upset that he thinks he’s offended her.’

Fred hadn’t realised he had made a faux pas until the next morning when Nella ignored him and told him to ‘leave me alone’.

The Fred, Gordon and Gino star, taken aback by her response, asked her what he’d done wrong, with Nella hitting out: ‘You know that my mum’s dead, and you know that my dad’s dead. You know that, right? I’ve come to find out that every time I wanna get creative around the fire, or I want to have something my way, my own food that I am entitled to, my way, you tend to get an attitude, right?’

She said he had an ‘attitude’ about the fact he told her, ‘You know I could be your dad, right?’

‘I don’t care how you said it to me, it’s disrespectful and I don’t want to talk to you. I don’t want to be around you,’ Nella said. ‘I only allow people to disrespect me once. You hurt my feelings. I was very upset… you keep trying to speak to me when I don’t want to speak to you.

‘I would rather stay away from you, I don’t want to eat your food, I don’t want to talk to you. We can just live, you live on that side, I live on this side.’

Fred apologised profusely, insisting he didn’t know he offended her with the comment and ‘only said that because I am older than you, I am 51 and you’re 26.’

He added: ‘I made a mistake and I said something and I offended you, I’m really sorry. I’m really sorry you feel like this.’

Nella was having none of it, saying ‘you’re not going to little girl me.’

She said she would accept his apology but ‘I don’t want to eat no food that you’re cooking, don’t talk to me, you stay over there, I stay over here and we can live.’

Tensions have yet to cool down in the camp, with two new arrivals set to join the likes of Jamie Lynn Spears and Nigel Farage soon.

Bobby Brazier’s jaw almost hit the floor on Thursday’s Loose Women when Denise Welch told him one of the world’s most iconic actors is rooting for him on Strictly Come Dancing.

The 20-year-old appeared on the ITV show towards the end of the week with his dance partner Dianne Buswell and 65-year-old Denise revealed she’d recently had dinner with her pal Sir Michael Caine and the 90-year-old actor shared some kind words about Bobby.

According to Denise, Sir Michael said: ‘That Bobby Brazier, he reminds me of me.’

Denise then asked Sir Michael to elaborate and he hilariously replied: ‘He’s so good-looking.’

The Loose Women panellist then added to Bobby: ‘He thinks you’ve got it,’ and unsurprisingly, Bobby struggled to wipe the smile from his face .

How epic is that?

Bobby’s appearance on Loose Women comes after he hinted his next routine will be an emotional tribute to his late mum Jade Goody.

Of the song he’ll dance to this weekend, Maxwell’s This Woman’s Work, EastEnders star Bobby said on It Takes Two this week: ‘It is the perfect song, sung by the perfect man and it is the perfect tone. The lyrics are just profound and touched me at my core – it is gorgeous.

‘I am going to have to work very hard this week to do it justice.’

He added that Dianne, 34, will take on a special role in the routine.

‘I am a child, well there is me as a child and I come out as me now. I have got Dianne, who replicates a woman let’s say my mother probably,’ he explained.

‘We go on this journey throughout. I don’t know the whole dance yet to tell you completely but it is emotional. I think there could be a few tears.’

When Goody died from cervical cancer aged just 27 in March 2009, Bobby was five, and his brother Freddie was four. They were then solely raised by their dad Jeff Brazier, 44.

Bobby exclusively told Metro.co.uk that Goody ‘would be proud’ of him.

‘And not necessarily for Strictly, I think for everything. My life is a much bigger picture than this and everyone that knows and loves me is proud of me, and I think she’d be the same.’

Rachel Riley has lashed out at Kay Burley, calling the Sky News presenter’s reporting ‘astonishing, illogical and utterly revolting’.

The Countdown presenter, 37, who has previously ripped into the BBC for its refusal to brand Hamas a terrorist organisation, and has now blasted Burley for her questioning towards a spokesperson for the Israeli Government.

Following the news that Hamas will release dozens of hostages being held in the Gaza Strip in exchange for Palestinians in Israeli prisons, with 50 of the roughly 240 hostages set to be agreed under a four-day ceasefire deal, Burley echoed comments from a hostage negotiator.

She asked: ‘He made the comparison between the 50 hostages Hamas has promised to release, as opposed to the 150 prisoners that are Palestinians that Israel has said it will release, and he has made the comparison between the numbers and the fact that does Israel not think that Palestinian lives are valued as highly as Israeli lives?’

Taken aback, spokesperson Eylon Levy admitted he was left ‘speechless’ as he shared the clip on social media, which saw him replying: ‘That is an astonishing accusation, if we could release one prisoner for every one hostage we would obviously do that.

‘We are operating in horrific circumstances, we are not choosing to release these prisoners who have blood on their hands, we are talking about people who have been convicted of stabbing and shooting attacks.’

He went on to say that it was ‘outrageous’ to suggest that Israel being willing to release more prisoners than hostages they would get back ‘somehow suggests that we don’t care about Palestinian lives.’

Riley was just as outraged, sharing on Twitter images of the children who are being held hostage alongside alleged screenshots of the list of Palestinian prisoners to be released, one of which read: ‘The women guilty mainly of stabbing or shooting attacks; the young men generally aged 17-19 and in terror groups. The phrase “woman and children” doesn’t quite cover it… And certainly there are no 10-month-old babies.’

‘Astonishing, illogical and utterly revolting from Kay Burley,’ Riley wrote, with another person saying: ‘@KayBurley has hit the lowest of the low in this one. How can anyone with any moral compass, spin it so that giving away MORE prisoners than receiving less children hostages is not valuing Palestinian lives? Does she realise how backwards and completely messed up that is?’

Others called for Burley to be sacked, with one saying: ‘She needs to be taken off air permanently.’

Another wrote: ‘It’s beyond any sense of reality- it’s as if we’re all in some surreal cartoon- he handled her biased, rotten nonsense very well considering.’

Burley later took to X, writing: ‘Morning everyone, We often put one side of an argument to a guest so they can offer a counterclaim Yesterday, I raised a controversial view from an earlier guest to allow another to respond Each morning we’re dedicated to presenting fairly the news of this war.’

This comes after claims, as reported by Sky News, that 90% of the 300 Palestinian prisoners who may be released are aged 18 or under.

The list of Palestinians is said to include around 60 female prisoners, with charges ranging from harming the security of the region, throwing stones, and possessing weapons.

The deal does not mean an end to the war, which erupted on October 7 after Hamas stormed across the border into southern Israel and killed at least 1,200 people, most of them civilians, and kidnapped hundreds of others.

In the following weeks of Israeli airstrikes and a ground invasion, more than 14,500 Palestinians have been killed, with the head of the Hamas government press office saying at a press conference on Wednesday evening that the figure includes more than 6,000 Palestinian children and 4,000 women.

‘Which means that 69% of the victims were children and women,’ he said.

Daisy Jones & The Six actor Sebastian Chacon has been accused of rape and sexual assault.

The 30-year-old ‘vehemently denies these allegations’ of assault which took place between 2017 and 2022, according to the New York filing.

As part of the lawsuit filed on November 22, three women, who remain anonymous, have made claims against Chacon, and claim they’ve attempted suicide or had suicidal thoughts, report People.

‘Jane Doe 1’ alleges she was 16 when she met a then 24-year-old Chacon on the TV show Crash and Burn. She claims Chacon groomed her over a few weeks.

According to the lawsuit, Chacon, who played drummer Warren Rojas in the popular Amazon series, encouraged the minor to have alcohol at a fundraising event.

Afterwards, she alleged that he distracted her from getting off the subway stop for her parent’s house by kissing her so she ended up at his apartment.

Jane Doe 1 claims she was ‘feeling uncomfortable as well as drowsy and disoriented from the alcohol’ as he performed oral sex before he ‘forcibly’ penetrated her without consent or contraception. She alleges it was her first time having sexual intercourse so she felt ‘excruciating pain’ and had ‘vaginal bleeding.’

She also claimed that he only stopped when she said ‘something to the effect of “Stop, it hurts,”‘ but did not console her.

Jane Doe 2 and Jane Doe 3 both claim they were in relationships with Chacon.

The former says that she fainted during sexual intercourse and lost consciousness – something she sought medical assistance for – but Chacon would carry on having sex with her.

She also claims he took ‘naked and unconscious’ photos without her consent, that he strangled her until she lost consciousness, and he engaged in anal sex despite her objections.

Jane Doe 3 claims he applied ‘great force’ around her neck until she could not breathe and woke up to him ‘moaning with pleasure.’ She also alleges he penetrated her anus without ‘warning, consent or lubrication.’

Aurore DeCarlo, the attorney for the three women, told People: ‘I just think it’s a huge testament to the strength and courage of these women that they found each other.

‘They realised that they had experienced that same pattern of abuse or a very similar pattern of abuse and they’ve banded together to hold this individual accountable.’

She added that they have a ‘hard road ahead of them.’

Chacon’s attorney, Jeff Chabrowe, said: ‘Mr. Chacon vehemently denies these allegations. Chacon and his close friends and family have been verbally abused, harassed, and threatened by the accusers.

‘Mr. Chacon refused to compromise his ethical beliefs; this lawsuit is purely a result of his refusal to be extorted.’

He concluded: ‘Mr. Chacon will fully cooperate with any investigation and provide any evidence necessary to prove his innocence. We have complete faith in our legal system and trust that the truth will ultimately prevail.’

From 2017 until 2022, the actress starred as the Thirteenth Doctor, traversing the galaxy with her savvy sonic screwdriver, becoming the first woman to play the Time Lord.

While the 41-year-old adored the part, and told Metro.co.uk she would happily return if given the opportunity, she has also received acclaim for her dramatic roles, such as in Broadchurch, in Time with Bella Ramsey and in One Night.

Coming out in the UK on November 24 on Paramount Plus, One Night follows a trio of women who are forced to address painful and traumatic memories that they’ve been harbouring for 20 years, after one of them survived a sexual assault.

Jodie spoke to us about what drew her to the harrowing project, partying with Girls Aloud on St Trinian’s, her excitement for Doctor Who’s 60th anniversary and what it was like passing the baton onto Ncuti Gatwa – which involved a literal ‘handover’.

This week, the BBC sci-fi series is finally returning for the milestone anniversary, with David Tennant, 52, reprising his role as the Time Lord (but to be clear – as the Fourteenth Doctor, not again as his previous iteration, the Tenth Doctor).

Jodie, 41, admitted that before entering the Tardis for the first time, she wasn’t clued up on all things Doctor Who… but now that she’s officially a devoted fan – a ‘Whovian’ – she can’t wait to see what the new episodes have in store.

‘It’s the first time now for me that I am a full-on fan with no stress attached. Because obviously when we’ve shot it, I’ve sat and watched it as it’s come out and panicked about saying something in an interview that I wasn’t meant to,’ she shared.

‘Now I can talk about it, I can’t ruin it! I can just be the front row of it now and just super excited and just immensely jealous.’

While Jodie found it ‘so sad’ to say goodbye to the Doctor – particularly after the incredible journey she went on with her Mandip Gill as her companion Yaz – she acknowledged that the reason it was so ‘heartbreaking’ was because it was such an ‘ace’ time.

If asked to return, the actress said that there’d be ‘no debate’, as the show is her ‘absolute happiness’, adding that being reunited with her Doctor’s old crew would be a ‘dream’.

Nonetheless, she can’t wait to see what ‘phenomenal’ Sex Education star Ncuti, 31, will bring to the role – so speaking of, has she had a chance to meet him yet?

Explaining what happens when a new actor is cast as the Doctor, she outlined: ‘There’s like a little handover thing that’s like being able to contact them, which is so exciting.

‘But obviously because he’s the busiest actor in the land, I think just before he was being announced and we found out, he was on some amazing set somewhere. So there was a lot me and David like leaving messages and chatting through all that but I’m yet to meet him so be prepared. I will be very overexcited.’

It might only be a year since Jodie hung up her coat and suspenders, but she’s been keeping extremely busy since then.

The Broadchurch actress astounded viewers in the second series of Time, starring opposite Game of Thrones star Bella Ramsey in the critically-acclaimed prison drama.

While on screen, the pair might have been wrapped up in tense scenes, off-camera, Jodie was picking Bella’s brains about The Last of Us, given her co-star plays Ellie in the post-apocalyptic phenomenon.

‘What was so funny with Bella was I was halfway through The Last of Us while we were shooting,’ she recalled.

‘At one point I was crying and stressed because something really dramatic was happening. I was like, “You need to get out, I can’t talk to you right now, I’m at a really crucial point!” And then I was just like, “I need to ask you a million questions.”’

Fortunately, Bella didn’t appear to mind being quizzed, as Jodie continued: ‘They were incredibly patient with me and very generous with their time because I quizzed them within an inch of their life.’

Jodie’s most recent role, playing Tess in One Night, is one that she feels incredibly proud of.

Reflecting on what drew her to the project, the actress explained that the Australian drama depicted a story about sexual assault in a way that felt ‘completely unique’ to her.

‘What made this completely unique to me and completely engrossing was the change of POV [point of view],’ she said.

‘Very often it’s told from outside in – there’s an investigation, there’s detectives, there’s people working things out. This is about the decimation something like that can have.

‘It’s also about how the event – whether it happened a minute ago or 20 years ago – is defining for a group of women that it affects, particularly this friendship group.

‘But also what it’s about is how we all survive something like that and who owns memory, who has the right to tell stories, and especially if that story is true.’

In One Night, Jodie’s character Tess doesn’t remember the assault that occurred two decades previously, so reading impact statements helped her to understand what real-life survivors who have had similar traumatic experiences have been through.

The star hailed the writer Emily Ballou and the first block director Catharine Miller for their diligent research on the series, which also saw her tackle an Australian accent.

Jodie, who’s from Yorkshire, admitted that she was initially ‘arrogant’ about doing the accent… but quickly realised after her first dialect session that she had a lot of work to do.

‘When we got into the meat of it in a very short window, I was terrified because it was harder than I thought because I’m an idiot,’ she stated.

‘I never stopped speaking to the dialect coach. She wasn’t on set with me, but every Sunday I went through all my weeks, lines and scenes with her.

‘Because of how great a teacher she was, those fundamentals were put in place so that I then felt comfortable that the director could completely change how I’d interpreted the scene.’

While it’s been extraordinary to watch Jodie morph into different characters with a chameleon-like quality throughout her career, one of her most iconic roles dates back to 2007, when she made her debut as the receptionist Beverly in St Trinian’s.

Having returned for the sequel St Trinian’s 2: The Legend of Fritton’s Gold two years later, the actress recollected how special an experience it was to be a part of the rebellious films.

‘The thing is with St Trinian’s, it was such a short window, but I think Beverly has some kind of response to that was just really fun,’ she said.

‘To me, what came out of that is I’ve got friends from that, that I met on that job for maybe three or four days and I’m still really good mates with, and that was just a lovely thing.

‘And also, at that time, it was very rare you were on set and the women outnumbered the men. So that was a unique scenario then.’

As for her ultimate highlight, it unsurprisingly comes back to a certain girlband, who could be on the brink of a reunion.

‘Probably the highlight was the very last scene of the first one. We were in a scene with Girls Aloud dancing on the table, pulling out all my best 90s dance moves,’ she remembered excitedly.

‘I suppose when you are looking back, it’s probably the least bleak thing I’ve been in.’

One Night premieres in the UK on Paramount Plus from Friday November 24.

Fred Sirieix has surprised I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here with his real age.

Fine French food, and spending his days playing Cupid on First Dates, have clearly done wonders for Fred as he’s managed to shock a few people in the best way by revealing he is 51. Quelle surprise!

They were particularly taken aback when he decided to partake in a workout with Marvin Humes topless which meant displaying his impressive abs.

Workout buddies Marvin, 38, and Fred basically turned the Australian outback into The Gym Group doing a series of squats and getting a pump on by lifting their makeshift dumbells – rocks. At least in the jungle, they don’t have to awkwardly loiter by the occupied leg press machine.

One downside of the setup is you can’t take AirPods into I’m A Celebrity, so Marvin and Fred were forced to make up their own gym playlist.

‘Jungle living, living in the jungle,’ they sang between sets. With LadBaby ruling themselves out of the Christmas chart battle after five years, perhaps we’ve just had the first listen to the festive number one. In order to increase their chances, they could collaborate avec Peter Andre and do a mash-up with Insania.

Rather than listening to lyrics, viewers were more into Fred’s youthful looks.

‘Fred looks good for 51 though,’ remarked one person on X, formerly Twitter.

Another quipped: ‘Fred can be shirtless in the jungle any day.’

‘Fred’s quite the looker ain’t he?,’ wrote another viewer with great eyesight.

ITV needs to take notes as viewers want to see more of this content: ‘The shower and gym scene was SO needed.’

It wasn’t just viewers, who reacted pleasantly to the topless scenes – Josie Gibson, 38, had a hilarious reaction to Marvin heading for a shower.

With her eyes almost popping out of her head, Josie shouted: ‘Bloody hell Marv, is that your body? How many times a week do you work out? Jesus.’ Please Josie, never change.

The scenes have provided some light relief after a few disagreements in camp.

Fred severely offended YouTuber Nella Rose after making a comment that he could be her dad.

The TV star insisted he had made the remark because of their ages, as she is 26 – but Nella, who lost both her mum and her dad at a young age, was massively hurt by the comment.

She told him: ‘I would rather stay away from you, I don’t want to eat your food, I don’t want to talk to you. We can just live, you live on that side, I live on this side.’

Fred apologised profusely: ‘I made a mistake and I said something and I offended you, I’m really sorry. I’m really sorry you feel like this.’

I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! star Tony Bellew has revealed he was close to quitting the show following the death of his nan just days out from entering the jungle.

After weeks of speculation, the retired boxer has been confirmed as one of the latecomers to camp, which he’ll be joining alongside former jockey Frankie Dettori.

However, over the weekend, Tony shared the news that his beloved nan had died at the age of 97, which happened the day after he signed the contract for the reality series.

The former Cruiserweight World champion shared a heartfelt tribute on social media on Saturday.

Posting a series of photos of them together on Instagram, he captioned the post: ‘Goodnight Nan! I’ll love you forever girl.’

He’s now shared that he was close to pulling out of the show over concerns he wouldn’t be able to attend her funeral.

‘If I couldn’t have changed the funeral date I would have reneged,’ he said.

However after confirming he would be home in time for her funeral on December 15, he decided to push through with his plans.

‘I’m here now,’ he continued.’

‘She was in a home and told my mum: “I’ll be able to watch every night”. But I’m sure she’ll be watching wherever she is, whatever she’s doing.’

However, Tony did acknowledge he did have some regrets about making the journey to Australia so soon after his grandmother’s death.

‘I signed it [the contract] the day before she passed away so there’s no going back now. I signed it and I honoured my agreement. In an ideal world, I would have left it, but I signed the day before my nan passed away,’ he explained.

Sharing how close he was to his nan, Tony explained she was ‘wonderful’ and a ‘diamond of an old lady’.

‘I come from a single-parent’s household. My dad left when I was 10.

‘So when you come from where I come from your nan helps around because your mother has to work.

‘So your nan was your second mum. So yeah, she was a lovely woman and had a heart of gold. She’ll be missed by all of us.’

Tony, who met his wife Rachael Roberts when he was just nine years old, also shared being in the jungle will be the longest time they’ve ever been apart.

‘This is the longest I haven’t spoken to my wife for 22 years, since the day we’ve been together. But I’m used to being alone in the camp with the microwave and the iPad for weeks,’ he said.

‘I’m sure I’ll get to know Nigel Farage and we’ll go from there. I’m from a different world from these people and I don’t class myself as a celebrity. I’m just good at punching someone in the face.’

On tonight’s episode, Tony and Frankie will be entering camp, joining other famous faces including former politician Nigel Farage, This Morning’s Josie Gibson and influencer Nella Rose.

Kourtney Kardashian accidentally blindsided her family when it came to her very public baby announcement.

The Poosh owner sent fans into meltdown in June when she confirmed that she would be welcoming a child with husband Travis Barker.

The 44-year-old shared the news in the most iconic way possible, holding up a sign at the LA stop on Blink-182’s tour, which read, ‘Travis, I’m pregnant.’

While we were all living for the declaration – which was a not-so-subtle nod to the band’s All The Small Things music video – it turns out that she didn’t quite give mom Kris Jenner a warning that the news would be shared that way.

In the teaser for the season four finale of the Kardashians, which is released on Hulu and Disney + next week, Khloe Kardashian could be seen confessing: ‘She found out on the news, my mom. She wasn’t very happy….’

‘I woke up, I thought I was being Punk’d,’ Kris replied. ‘She forgot she had a family.’

Elsewhere in the brief footage, Kourtney also dropped the bombshell that they were planning a gender reveal party for their family and friends the very next day.

In shock at the speed of her eldest daughter’s plans, Kris quipped: ‘You’re telling me the day before? That’s so Kourtney.’

The lovebirds confirmed they were going to be welcoming a baby boy together, with the reality star giving birth to their son a few weeks ago.

While this marks their first child together, Kourtney is already mom to Mason, Penelope and Reign with ex-boyfriend, Scott Disick, while Travis shares Landon, Alabama and step daughter Atiana De La Hoya with former partner Shanna Moakler.

The latest episode took viewers behind the scenes of the announcement, as the reality star finally spilled the beans on expanding her family.

‘So guys, I’m having a baby. In case you can’t see my baby bump,’ she told the cameras, while wearing a robe.

‘I am five months pregnant,’ she continued in a confessional. ‘I have not told most people, I’ve told my closest friends, my family, my kids. I had told my mom pretty early on.’

We then saw footage from April of Kim, Kylie, Kendall and Khloe opening envelopes containing a scan photo around the 12-week mark.

Although Kourtney and Travis have yet to share a glimpse of their son, thought to be named Rocky Thirteen Barker, the mom-of-four confirmed his arrival in a birthday tribute to the drummer.

‘To my husband, my soulmate, my best friend, my lover, my daddy to our baby boy, my everything… I wish you the happiest birthday,’ she wrote on Instagram, beside a very NSFW photoshoot.

‘You make all of my dreams come true and I feel so blessed to have you by my side. I love you beyond words, forever.’

The Kardashians airs on Hulu in the US and is available to stream on Disney+ in the UK.

Sugababes legend Keisha Buchanan is the latest star confirmed for Strictly Come Dancing’s Christmas special.

The Push the Button singer, 39, was announced alongside Rugby union player Danny Cipriani and actress Tillie Amartey as the final trio of the BBC festive spectacular.

On Thursday’s episode of the Strictly spin-off show It Takes Two, it was confirmed they would join broadcaster Dan Snow, BBC Breakfast star Sally Nugent and EastEnders star Jamie Borthwick to complete the line-up.

Keisha will team up with Gorka Marquez for the all-star event and said she was ‘looking forward to learning some new moves and embracing the dancefloor.’

Former England international Danny, 36, has been paired with Jowita Przystal when he swaps his boots for dance shoes.

He said: ‘I’ve always enjoyed the concept of Strictly Come Dancing, it wasn’t something I ever thought I’d do.

‘After addressing my own ideas and beliefs, I am very much looking forward to expressing myself through dance with no limitations.’

Tillie, who has presented a number of children’s shows and has starred in thriller series Teacher and will join the cast of Waterloo Road next year, will be taking to the dancefloor alongside professional dancer Neil Jones.

BBC’s Sally, 52, previously announced on Instagram alongside some snaps of herself and partner Graziano Di Prima during training, writing: ‘I was in need of a little pick me up when the lovely people at Strictly called.

‘They kindly suggested I might like to learn to dance with @grazianodiprima in time for Christmas.

‘I am definitely not a dancer – but I will try my best. And there is no one better to learn with.

‘Join us on our Christmas adventure and I guarantee that we will all have fun along the way. Ciao 👋’

Sally’s former co-star Dan Walker, who appeared on Strictly in 2021, shared his support and commented: ‘GO ON SAL & GRAZ.’

Owain Wyn Evans added: ‘Omg Sal this is so good! Cannot wait to see it! 🪩 xxxx.’

Announcing the news, Sally had earlier shared: ‘I am thrilled and slightly terrified to be taking part in this year’s Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special.

‘I’m hoping the judges will be kind – and filled with Christmas spirit. And I hope everyone watching at home will enjoy a little bit of Strictly magic on Christmas night.’

History broadcaster, best-selling author and entrepreneur Dan, who spent 15 years working for the BBC, said: ‘I am absolutely terrified about hitting the dance floor. But I love getting out of my comfort zone and I’ve always wanted to learn how to dance properly. So I thought it was now or never!’

He’ll be partnered with Nadia Bychkova while Jay Brown actor Jamie will be taking to the floor with Nancy Xu.

He said: ‘I am so excited to be joining the cast of this years’ Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special.

‘From Walford to a Waltz, I can’t wait to learn a new skill and put my dancing to the test.

‘I’m hoping to spread Christmas cheer and have a good laugh with my professional dancer…get me on that dancefloor!’

The all-star event will return to BBC One this year, with the six brand new celebrity contestants vying to be crowned Christmas Champion 2023.

Each of the six couples will perform a festive fuelled routine with the hope of impressing the judges, Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Anton Du Beke, Head Judge Shirley Ballas, and the voting studio audience.

Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special will air on BBC One and BBC iPlayer on Christmas Day.

Squid Game: The Challenge fans have been left doing a double take after noticing a former reality star taking part in the spin-off series.

Based on the hit South Korean dystopian drama, the recently released reality series follows 456 real players from around the world who enter the competition show in pursuit of a record-setting cash prize of $4.56 million (£3.725 million).

While things won’t be as dark as the original, where players were killed off one by one until there was a single player left standing, contestants are doing all it takes to pursue the prize money.

But when tuning in this week, viewers realised one of the contestants was a familiar face they’d seen many times before.

More than 20 years after starring on Gladiators, Michael Van Wijk, who was known as Wolf on the sports entertainment show, has signed up to put his body on the line all over again.

When watching the first episode, eagle-eyed fans spread the word about what they’d noticed.

‘As if Wolf from Gladiators is in Squid Game,’ one person posted on X, formerly Twitter.

‘Not Wolf from Gladiators participating in the Squid Game,’ someone else shared alongside a photo of him amongst the crowd.

Even Netflix played into the game of trying to spot him, joking that they would offer: ‘4.56 million (imaginary) dollars to anyone who spotted this iconic ’90s villain in Squid Game: The Challenge.’

The day after the episodes were released Wolf has also shared a photo of his time on the show, however in the snap he looks less than impressed.

But, as he explained, not all was at it seemed.

‘I have not seen this [the show] yet, but I’m sure when people see it that it looks like it [one of the challenges] took a few minutes to complete, when in reality we had to stand still for a couple of hours in -3 degree temperatures,’ he captioned the Instagram post.

Many of his fans were yet to realise he was appearing on the show, and quickly flooded the comments section to say they were going to tune in.

‘I wasn’t going to watch it, but if you’re in it, now I will!’ one person wrote.

Michael starred in all eight seasons of the original Gladiators series, which ran from 1992 until 1999.

His Wolf persona was inspired by the film Dances with Wolves, which he auditioned for in 1989, however was unsuccessful.

After Gladiators wrapped up, he moved to New Zealand and opened a chain of gyms.

Squid Game: The Challenge is now streaming on Netflix.

I’m A Celebrity 2023 is officially underway, but two stars are joining the camp as latecomers, and they’ve finally been unveiled.

Nigel Farage and This Morning’s Josie Gibson have joined Jamie Lynn Spears and Marvin Humes on the reality programme, with the former Ukip leader reportedly becoming the highest-paid contestant on the show ever.

First Dates’ Fred Sirieix and EastEnders actress Danielle Harold are also be taking on Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly’s bushtucker trials.

Last year, comedian Seann Walsh and former health secretary Matt Hancock provided quite the shock when they arrived in the jungle after the celebrities had already begun filming.

And now two sports stars that were rumoured to be heading into the jungle have announced, as this year’s latecomers.

Who are the I’m A Celeb 2023 latecomers?

World-famous jockey Frankie Dettori and former pro boxer Tony Bellew are doing are heading into the jungle.

Frankie, 52, previously confirmed he had jetted off to Australia, after rumours he was in ‘advanced talks’ to star on the show.

The Italian jockey, who announced his retirement late last year but made a recent U-turn, said in a video montage: ‘My strength as a person, I am a fighter, I won’t lie to you, I can be quite moody sometimes when I lose so I don’t know what kind of Frankie is going to come out.’

‘I’ve been racing for 36 years in front of thousands of people, but this is my biggest challenge,’ the 52-year-old added.

Meanwhile 40-year-old Tony said he is going into the jungle ‘because it’s a challenge, and guess what, I love a challenge’.

‘I’m a serial winner, I hate to lose, I am not going to give in. I’ve faced many different things in my life now and the jungle is next, let’s see what you’ve got for me,’ he added.

At the end of Wednesday’s episode, co-host Anthony McPartlin said: ‘There are more surprises on the way because at the end of the trial the celebrities will be split into two teams of five.’

While Declan Donnelly said: ‘Over the next couple of days those teams will be going head to head in trials and challenges and those trials will take place in a special area known as the Scarena.’

A source had previously told The Sun: ‘Frankie is a superstar signing for jungle casting producers as he is a legend in the horse racing world and would be reality TV gold.

‘He might be pint-sized, but his personality is larger than life and he has real charm and a sense of humour.

‘Frankie would be brilliant in the Bushtucker Trials too as being competitive is second nature to him. He’s got a wealth of stories he could tell around the campfire too to keep other campmates entertained.’

Meanwhile, Tony – who has previously starred on Celebrity SAS – was one of the first names reported for this year’s I’m A Celebrity.

Katie Price’s ex Danny Cipriani was also rumoured to be heading into the jungle, as well as The Apprentice’s Thomas Skinner, and Denise Van Outen.

This comes after filming was reportedly thrown into chaos after Coronation Street star Alan Halsall was forced to pull out of the series after undergoing knee surgery.

A source said: ‘It’s a big blow, but there’s no way he can go to Australia – his surgeon would have a fit. 

‘Alan needs to recover fully and then maybe he can take part next year.’

The insider continued to The Mirror: ’It’s a massive shame because everyone was really looking forward to having him on the show, but these things happen.’

I’m A Celebrity starts on Sunday, November 19 at 9pm on ITV2.
