You can get official PS5 and Xbox controllers for as little as £39 in the current Black Friday sales.
Black Friday means business when it comes to gaming – literally and figurately – but it’s not just consoles and games that get big discounts, as so do controllers and accessories as well.
We’ve already covered the best deals for PlayStation 5 consoles and games as well as the equivalents for Xbox Series X and S but there’s also plenty of bargains to be had for official and third party controllers.
Considering how expensive the official ones are usually, getting a third or more off the usual price is very helpful, if you need a new one or enjoy playing local co-op.
At the moment the best deal you can get if you’re looking for a PlayStation 5 DualSense wireless controller is at Very (white) and Amazon (camo grey), who both sell them at £38.99 (down from £59.99, so a 35% discount).
Xbox wireless controllers have seen a £15 discount, as they’re reduced from £54.99 to £39.99 across the board, from the Xbox store to Amazon. Both retailers also offer the luxury of a large selection of colours to choose from.
Amazon also offers a third party wired Xbox controller for £21.24 (down from £29.99), which is compatible with Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
Although charging stations for controllers aren’t very expensive in the first place, there are also some small discounts on those. Currys is offering a double charging dock for Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S controllers at £13.97, while Argos has a dual charging station for PlayStation 5 controllers at £17.99.
Although it may look like PlayStation controllers have bigger discounts, that’s only because its controller and charging station is normally more expensive. Both PlayStation and Xbox actually have near identical sales, in terms of the percentage size of the discount.
