Another one bites the dust this week as the next food favourite gets the chop, following on from huge axes at Nestle (RIP Caramac) and Walkers.
This time it’s the turn of McDonald’s.
A popular burger is getting axed this week – along with eight other items on the menu.
On Wednesday, fans will have to wave goodbye to the Philly Cheese Stack burger as it makes a dramatic exit from the menu.
It comes as new additions only stick around for about six weeks at McDonald’s, before other items are rotated in.
But fans are heartbroken about this decision and are even calling for the chain to make it a permanent addition.
Someone wrote: ‘Please don’t take the Philly Cheese Stack away from me… I’m not ready.’
While another posted: ‘Please make the Philly Cheese Stack a permanent burger, it’s the best!’
The popular burger is perfect for cheese lovers as it features two beef patties topped with a cheesy sauce, two cheese slices, grilled and crispy onions and pickles and served in a toasted bun.
The BBQ Smokehouse, Chilli Cheese bites, and the Toffee Apple Pie are amongst the other items leaving the menu this week.
Fans will, however, be able to tuck into treats from the new festive menu – which includes the return of the Chicken Big Mac, as well as Cheese Melt Dippers and the Galaxy Chocolate McFlurry.
The following are also being axed on Wednesday:
- Philly Cheese Stack – £6.99
- McCrispy BBQ Smokehouse – £7.39
- Nine-piece Chicken McNuggets meal – medium £6.69, large £7.39
- Chilli Cheese Bites – £2.49
- Chilli Cheese Bites Sharebox – £6.79
- Twix Toffee Apple McFlurry – £1.99 regular, £1.49 mini
- M&M’s Halloween McFlurry – £1.99 regular, £1.49 mini
- Toffee Apple Pie – £1.99
- Toffee Apple Donut – £2.19
