While many chocolate lovers will be filling their cupboards with tubs of Celebrations and Quality Street at this time of year, shoppers at B&M are purchasing an unexpected treat.
That’s because the bargain store has already started stocking a Cadbury fan favourite that’s normally not available at this time of year.
It turns out, Creme Eggs are no longer just for Easter.
Shoppers are going wild on social media after spotting multipacks of five Cadbury Creme Eggs in B&M, which feature a selection of different flavours, including classic, white chocolate eggs and caramel.
A larger box containing five Creme Eggs and five caramel versions, is also available to buy in-store for £3.75.
And that’s not all, B&M customers have also reportedly spotted Mini Eggs and Mini Egg Bars on the shelves as well, proving these treats can be enjoyed any time of the year.
The tasty news was shared on social media by Newfoodsuk, who wrote ‘Cadbury Creme Eggs, Mini Eggs and Mini Egg Bars are now back at B&M stores’. Similarly, a video showing off the Creme Eggs was posted on TikTok by @newfoodspotteruk.
When the white chocolate Creme Eggs first launched in 2018, they were hailed a ‘game-changer’ online, and it’s fair to say many are still enamoured with them, as hundreds of people shared their excitement over their return, with one saying: ‘I need these.’
Another replied: ‘Bought some today!!’ While someone else admitted: ‘I will happily devour a pack of these just saying.’
Others urged the confectionery giants to give the people what they really want and start making a white chocolate and caramel egg.
However, a number of social media users were left feeling rather baffled by the return of the popular Easter treat so close to Christmas, asking ‘What month are we in?’ Someone else wasn’t impressed, adding: ‘It’s November ffs.’
This news comes after Cadbury revealed they were launching a brand new chocolate bar in the UK, which was also Creme Egg-themed.
Fans of the gooey treat will shortly be able to get their hands on a 123g Creme Egg bar, which is a classic Dairy Milk chocolate bar filled with the fondant goodness of the iconic Easter item.
Eagle-eyed shoppers might have spotted similar bars on the shelves of B&M stores previously, but they were actually an import launched for the Australian market. The UK roll-out will mean the bar will be available much more widely very soon.
On the Snack News & Reviews Facebook group users proclaimed they were already ‘obsessed’ with the Creme Egg bar. ‘New obsession incoming…’ wrote one excited snacker.
The exact release date for the new bar has yet to be confirmed, but Snack News & Reviews hinted that we can ‘expect to see it in shops late December’. This has led to commenters speculating about a Boxing Day roll-out, but it seems we’ll just have to wait and see…
