Coronation Street fans were left pretty stunned after seeing Carla Medonça’s new do in the latest episode.
The My Parents Are Aliens actress, 59, was first introduced as Mrs Orla Crawshaw on the ITV soap and was mainly seen overseeing Daniel Osbourne’s (Rob Mallard) lessons following his venture into teaching.
In the latest episode Sean Tully (Antony Cotton) is on the warpath about Dylan Wilson’s missing trainers. Mason Radcliffe (Luca Toolan) made Dylan hand the shoes over after Sean got rid of some disposable vapes that Dylan had been hiding in the house for Mason.
Sean plans to go to the school to report the missing trainers to the head, and a scared Dylan warns Mason.
Mason tells the head that it was Liam Connor (Charlie Wrenshall) who stole Dylan’s trainers and sure enough when she opens Liam’s locker, there they are. Liam immediately realises he’s been stitched up.
But fans of the soap were left doing a double take when deputy headteacher of Weatherfield High Orla Crawshaw (Carla) made an appearance.
One person wrote on Twitter, aka X: ‘Headteacher Orla Crawshaw returns to complete the trifecta of camp female characters who need a permanent role.’
Another added: ‘Ms Crawshaw’s new bob yaaas.’
A third agreed: ‘Great to see Mrs Crawshaw back and loving her new hairdo!’
Carla is most known for playing the role of Sophie Johnson in CITV’s My Parents Are Aliens.
Airing from 1999-2006, the show follows the lives of three orphaned children – Mel, Josh and Lucy and their foster parents Brian (Tony Gardner) and Sophie.
The children soon discover their new parents are aliens and crash landed on Earth after Brian tampered with the spaceship controls.
Mel, Josh and Lucy must do their best to teach Sophie and Brian how to live on Earth as of course, being aliens, they have a very muddled knowledge of human life.
