Tesco customers have just over one week to use up their Clubcard points – or risk losing them (as well as the subsequent savings) forever.
The supermarket has warned that £16 million worth of Clubcard points are due to expire after November 30, 2023.
So if you’ve been busy racking up points, it would be wise to ensure they don’t go to waste – particularly with Christmas shopping on the horizon.
For those not clued-up, the points – first issued in November 2021 – have to be redeemed within two years.
There are some great savings to be had too, as every 150 points can be exchanged to the value of £1.50 in Tesco stores.
Shoppers can use these Clubcard vouchers in-store and online to save money on their shop.
What’s more, they can also be used to cut the cost of car fuel, on your Tesco Mobile bill, or can even be doubled in value to spend at more than 100 reward partners including Pizza Express and Zizzi.
Emma Botton, Tesco Group customer director, said: ‘We want to help customers’ household budgets stretch further right now and Clubcard is the best way to get great value with Tesco.
‘With more than £16m worth of Clubcard vouchers due to expire at the end of November, we’re reminding customers to spend them now – or even use them to get ahead with some early Christmas shopping.’
If you want to make sure you’re not letting them go to waste, you can find out how many Clubcard points you have in the app by visiting your own account section and selecting statements.
A similar warning came earlier this year when the supermarket warned Tesco customers they had just days to use up their points.
However, the subject of loyalty cards is a point of contention for many – after a recent investigation by consumer group Which? found prices at Tesco and Sainsbury’s often shoot up shortly before discounts for members become available.
