A woman bagged a return flight to Romania for a spa trip that was £100 cheaper than what she would have paid in the UK.
Everybody loves a good travel hack and one savvy explorer in search of a wellness trip that wouldn’t break the bank was able to whisk herself away for less than she initially expected.
Rebecca Kellet, 37, and her best pal, Sam Martin, 34, flew from Liverpool John Lennon Airport to Henri Coandă International Airport in Bucharest, Romania at 10am on November 19, 2023.
After flying to Romania on Sunday, they spent the next day getting facials and massages, before travelling back to the UK on Tuesday morning.
Despite being very cheap, the pair had a wonderful trip — including a whole day’s worth of lush relaxation.
In terms of their itinerary, after landing the pair headed to their hotel — which cost them £40 each — and visited a couple of bars.
Rebecca and Sam then visited the Therme Spa in Bucharest the following day and only had to part ways with £25.85 each for the experience.
For the flights, accommodation and the spa, the whole trip cost them £97.85 each — which they say £100 cheaper than their usual spa day in the UK.

Rebecca, a gift company business owner from Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, said they always arrange a spa trip to celebrate Sam’s birthday.
Usually the pair go to a place much closer to home in Preston, but Rebecca says that their ‘prices have gone up recently’ and a change in the rules means ‘you don’t get as long in the spa’.
After finding the spa in Romania, Rebecca was also able to book cheap flights.
‘The cost was incredible and the fact that it is a full one-day holiday,’ Rebecca gushed.
‘Usually when you go to a spa you can only get a few hours and here you have the whole day’.
